Is the 2026 Subaru Forester Hybrid a good car?
The 2026 Subaru Forester Hybrid sits in a moderate market position, and 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals. That gives you some room to shop selectively rather than rush into the first example you see.
With 537 listings available and 96.3% of them accident-free, you’re looking at a market with strong clean-inventory coverage. If you want a hybrid compact SUV with broad availability and a decent chance of finding a well-priced example, this is a reasonable one to consider.
What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Subaru Forester Hybrid?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the car’s actual condition and equipment. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple examples with similar pricing. Focus on maintenance records, tire and brake wear, and any signs of prior bodywork or uneven wear that could affect long-term ownership.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Subaru Forester Hybrid?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage but should still compare carefully.
- Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 537 listings available.
- Clean inventory: 96.3% of listings are accident-free.
Should I buy a 2026 Subaru Forester Hybrid or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2026 if:
- 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
Consider the 2025 if:
- The 2025 adds efficiency, more power, and a few extra features.
The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year option with strong clean-inventory availability and a decent share of good deals, the 2026 is the primary path to consider. If you’re more price-sensitive and want the earlier version’s efficiency-focused appeal, the 2025 is worth a look as a secondary option.
These recommendations are based on CarGurus' proprietary market data from October 20, 2026, CarGurus experts' opinions, and generative AI.
