New & Used 2026 RAM 2500 for Sale nearCedar Knolls, NJ

Is the 2026 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from owners and 7.67/10 from experts. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

The 2026 RAM 2500 is aimed at you if you need a heavy-duty pickup built for serious work rather than easy city driving. Its appeal comes from multiple cab and bed choices, a powerful engine lineup, and the kind of towing and off-road capability that fits buyers who need a truck to handle demanding jobs.

The trade-offs are clear: advanced safety features are not standard, and the truck gets expensive fast. Even so, if you want a heavy-duty Ram with broad configuration choices and serious capability, it makes a strong case for itself.

35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent amount of market flexibility.

Is the 2026 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 RAM 2500 is positioned as a hard-use heavy-duty truck, and the expert evaluation emphasizes its durability and usefulness for buyers who depend on a truck for hauling and other demanding work. The powertrain lineup is built around substantial output, including a diesel option with very high torque, which supports the truck’s work-focused mission.

If you want a truck that can take on heavy-duty ownership demands, this one is built for that role, but you should still expect the usual long-term risk that comes with a large, expensive truck used for hard work.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 RAM 2500?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck was used for towing, off-road driving, or other hard use. Focus on overall condition, signs of wear in the cabin and bed, and whether the truck’s equipment matches the way you plan to use it.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Tradesman is a no-frills workhorse with a plain matte plastic grille and black steel wheels, while the Big Horn adds chrome. Black Express adds a street-oriented look with a Sport Performance Hood, 20-inch black wheels, and black tubular side steps. Warlock is aimed at the off-road crowd with unique decals, a black grille surround, fender flares, bumpers, 20-inch diamond-cut wheels, and 34-inch all-terrain tires.
• Powertrain: The standard engine is a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with 405 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. An optional 6.7-liter Cummins turbocharged diesel delivers 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft of torque, and the diesel is the better choice if you care most about heavy towing.
• Safety package: Adaptive steering, automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, and lane-keep assist are part of the Safety Group package. Blind-spot monitors with trailer coverage, pedestrian detection, and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on Power Wagon, Rebel, Laramie, Limited, and Limited Longhorn, but optional on Tradesman, Black Express, Warlock, and Big Horn. ParkSense parking sensors are optional on Tradesman, Black Express, and Warlock, but standard on all other trim levels.
• Infotainment: Tradesman, Black Express, Warlock, and Big Horn come with an 8.4-inch touchscreen. Power Wagon, Rebel, and Laramie get a 12-inch unit, while top-shelf trucks have a 14.4-inch touchscreen. Uconnect 5 is standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and built-in navigation is optional.
• Fuel efficiency: No fuel-economy figure is stated in the available data.

Which 2026 RAM 2500 trim should I buy?

The 2026 RAM 2500 is offered in 8 trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn, Black Express, Warlock, Laramie, Rebel, Power Wagon, Limited, and Limited Longhorn.

Here's the short version:

• Tradesman: This is the work-focused starting point, and it makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and don’t need extra comfort or appearance upgrades.
• Big Horn: This adds a more polished look with chrome and is a sensible step up if you want a little more everyday appeal without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• Black Express: This is the best-value style upgrade if you want a sportier appearance, a Crew Cab-only setup, and blacked-out details without moving into luxury territory.
• Warlock: Choose this if you want an off-road-oriented Crew Cab with 4WD, all-terrain tires, and hardware that supports trail use.
• Laramie: This is the comfort-focused sweet spot for buyers who want more creature comforts and a larger standard touchscreen.
• Rebel: This is another off-road-oriented choice, and it fits you if you want that character with more standard equipment than the lower trims.
• Power Wagon: This is the serious off-road model, with electronic locking front and rear differentials and a disconnecting front sway bar.
• Limited: This is for you if you want a high-end leather interior and a more luxurious heavy-duty truck experience.
• Limited Longhorn: This is the other top-end luxury choice, with premium leather and upscale finishes for buyers who want the most refined cabin.

Blind-spot monitors with trailer coverage, pedestrian detection, and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on Power Wagon, Rebel, Laramie, Limited, and Limited Longhorn, but optional on Tradesman, Black Express, Warlock, and Big Horn.
