New & Used 2026 Lexus NX for Sale nearBrodhead, WI

Is the 2026 Lexus NX a good car?

The 2026 Lexus NX earns an 7/10 expert rating, and the standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

The NX’s appeal comes from its daring styling, its range of powertrains, and the confidence that comes with the Lexus badge. It also fits neatly between the Lexus UX and Lexus RX in size and price, which makes it a sensible compact luxury crossover choice if you want a premium nameplate without moving up to a larger SUV.

The trade-offs are clear: the design may be polarizing, the ride quality is poor, and cargo space is limited compared with rivals. Even so, the hybrid versions make the NX a stronger value proposition than the gas model, especially if you want efficiency without giving up luxury-brand cachet.

With 34.4% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX reliable?

The 2026 Lexus NX is presented as a model that benefits from the Lexus reputation for dependability, and the overview also points to standard advanced safety features as part of its everyday usefulness.

From the expert test drive data, the NX’s powertrain lineup is broad, and the hybrid models are described as more compelling on paper than the standard gas version. The cost-effectiveness notes also point to strong warranty coverage, including hybrid-system coverage for the NX 350h and NX 450h+.

The performance commentary is less flattering for the gas NX 350, which is described as coarse, lethargic, and paired with an eight-speed automatic that struggles to feel responsive. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is less about outright mechanical drama and more about whether you can live with the driving character and choose the right powertrain for your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus NX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the specific vehicle’s equipment matches the trim you want, especially because the NX lineup spans multiple powertrains and feature levels. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on ride quality, tire wear, and whether the cabin and tech features work as expected, since the NX’s comfort and usability are central to the ownership experience.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base NX 350 can feel sparse relative to the brand image, while the NX 350 Premium adds a power-adjustable steering column and the NX 350 Luxury adds leather upholstery plus heated and ventilated front seats. The F Sport Handling grade adds adaptive dampers, black 20-inch wheels, a different front fascia, black roof rails, and black window framing.
• Powertrain: The NX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque, while the NX 350h hybrid uses a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid setup with 240 hp. The NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid raises output to 304 hp and adds more continuous electric power.
• Safety package: The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and traffic-sign recognition. Available extras include park assist, front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and a 360-degree camera system.
• Infotainment: A 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard on base and Premium trims, while a 14-inch display is optional on Premium and standard on higher trims. All models include a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and six USB ports.
• Fuel efficiency: The non-hybrid NX 350 is rated at 24 mpg combined, while the NX 350h is rated at 40 mpg combined with FWD and 39 mpg combined with AWD. The NX 450h+ is rated at 36 mpg combined in hybrid mode and offers 37 miles of all-electric driving range.

Which 2026 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus NX is offered in 4 trim levels: base, Premium, Luxury, and F Sport Handling.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, but it is the least compelling choice if you want the NX to feel fully premium. It makes the most sense only if you are focused on getting into the lineup at the lowest price.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds meaningful everyday upgrades, including a power-adjustable steering column, while keeping the NX’s pricing relatively accessible.
• Luxury: Choose this if you want the most comfort-oriented setup, since it adds leather upholstery plus heated and ventilated front seats.
• F Sport Handling: Pick this if you want the sportiest appearance and chassis tuning in the lineup. It adds adaptive dampers, black 20-inch wheels, a different front fascia, black roof rails, and black window framing, but the ride can be firm.

The NX 450h+ is not available in base trim.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX safe?

The Lexus NX earned a 2025 Top Safety Pick from IIHS, with top “Good” scores in all other crash tests and evaluations but an “Acceptable” score in the updated moderate overlap front crash test that kept it from the Top Safety Pick+ award.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and traffic-sign recognition. Safe Exit Assist is also tied to the electronic door handles.

Available driver-assistance features include park assist, front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and a 360-degree camera system. The NX’s outward visibility is compromised, so the camera system is especially useful.

Should I buy a 2026 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• The 2026 NX receives minimal updates, and Lexus has adjusted the lineup to make the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions more affordable.

The bottom line: If you want the NX’s current styling, broad powertrain lineup, and stronger hybrid value, the 2026 model is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still be worth comparing, but the 2026’s improved hybrid pricing makes it the most appealing version of this generation for efficiency-minded shoppers.
