Is the 2026 Kia Sorento a good car?

The 2026 Kia Sorento is a solid pick if you want a three-row SUV that feels more spacious and more upscale than earlier versions of the nameplate, and its 2/5 user rating suggests shoppers should weigh its strengths and tradeoffs carefully. The overview points to a sharper design, a cabin with wood-grained trim and quilted leather upholstery, and a strong standard equipment list that includes smart key with push-button start, smart cruise control, collision warning, lane-keep assist, and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist. It also gives you a wide powertrain spread, from the base four-cylinder to a turbo upgrade, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid, which makes it easier to match the SUV to your priorities. With 39.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you a meaningful chance to find a competitive price.

Is the 2026 Kia Sorento reliable?

The 2026 Kia Sorento is presented as a well-equipped family SUV with a broad feature set and a range of powertrains, which supports its appeal for everyday use. The overview emphasizes standard driver-assistance features, available electrified options, and a more upscale cabin, all of which point to a vehicle designed to handle family duty with a strong equipment base. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is likely tied to choosing the right trim and powertrain for your needs, since complexity and higher-priced configurations can make used ownership less forgiving if maintenance is neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Kia Sorento?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific example you’re considering has a clean title and consistent service records. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and driver-assistance features, since the Sorento’s appeal depends heavily on its equipment and comfort. Focus on overall condition and how well the vehicle’s features work, especially if you’re shopping for a higher-trim model with more technology.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Kia Sorento?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,543 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 96.4% of listings are accident-free.

Should I buy a 2026 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It is a right-sized SUV with strong tech and a broad powertrain lineup.

The bottom line: The 2026 Kia Sorento is the better choice if you want the newer model-year package with a more upscale feel and strong market availability. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2025 is worth a look because it delivers many of the same core strengths and may offer a lower entry point.
