Is the 2026 Kia Sorento a good car?

The 2026 Kia Sorento earns a 2/5 user rating, and its appeal is strongest if you want a three-row SUV that feels more spacious and upscale than earlier versions of the nameplate. The cabin’s wood-grained trim and quilted leather upholstery give it a more premium personality, and the standard equipment list is broad enough to make it feel well equipped before you move up the trim ladder. It also fits buyers who want a versatile midsize SUV with available electrified powertrains and a wide feature set. 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Kia Sorento reliable?

The 2026 Kia Sorento is presented as a well-equipped family SUV with a broad powertrain lineup and a strong safety-and-driver-assistance feature set. Its standard equipment includes smart cruise control, collision warning, lane-keep assist, and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, which supports its everyday usability. The tradeoff is that some of its more advanced features can be less satisfying in practice, and the pricing range is wide enough that condition and trim choice matter. For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is most likely to come from choosing a higher-mileage or poorly maintained example rather than from the model’s basic concept.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Kia Sorento?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific Sorento you’re considering has no accident or title issues. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the cabin electronics, driver-assistance features, and overall condition, since the model’s appeal depends heavily on its equipment working as intended. Focus on trim-specific wear and how well the vehicle has been maintained, especially if you’re shopping for one of the more feature-rich versions.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Kia Sorento?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and compare condition closely.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,605 listings available.
• Clean inventory: 96.1% of listings are accident-free.

Should I buy a 2026 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It offers a right-sized layout with occasional third-row use and a strong mix of technology and warranty coverage.

The bottom line: If you want the most upscale-feeling Sorento with broad feature content and a strong used-market selection, the 2026 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is value and you’re comfortable with a more compact-feeling three-row setup, the 2025 is the better secondary path for price-sensitive buyers.
