New & Used 2026 Kia EV9 for Sale nearCharlotte, NC

Is the 2026 Kia EV9 a good car?

Yes — you rate it 5/5, and CarGurus experts rate it 8.17/10. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

The 2026 Kia EV9 stands out as a three-row electric SUV that blends practicality with a distinctive design and a strong technology focus. It is a compelling fit if you want an EV that is roomy, comfortable, safe, and well-equipped. It also offers single- or dual-motor configurations, up to 305 miles of range, fast recharging times, and Tesla Supercharger compatibility.

The main trade-offs are its high sticker price and the fact that certain Highway Driving Assist behaviors can be intrusive. The steering wheel also blocks the climate system display. Even so, the EV9’s usable range, quick charging, and advanced features make it a strong choice in the midsize three-row EV space.

Good and great deals account for 39.1% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Kia EV9 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The EV9’s overall package also points to solid day-to-day dependability: it is described as roomy, comfortable, safe, and well-equipped, with a strong emphasis on practical EV usability.

Its performance notes reinforce that impression, with quick acceleration, fast charging, and a well-tuned suspension that delivers a comfortable ride. The cost-effectiveness notes also suggest that the EV9’s ownership experience improves when you can charge at home rather than rely heavily on public fast charging.

If you buy used, your biggest long-term ownership risk is paying too much for a vehicle whose value depends heavily on charging habits and feature condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Kia EV9?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on an EV with advanced driver-assistance tech and multiple charging setups. Focus on overall condition, charging behavior, and whether the cabin tech and safety systems work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Light, Wind, Land, and GT-Line are the trims called out here. The base Light is the only one with the single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup, while the other trims move to the long-range dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration. Higher trims add more upscale touches, including a 12-inch head-up display on GT-Line and additional camera-based features further up the ladder.
• Powertrain: The EV9 Light uses a single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup, while the other trims use a dual-motor all-wheel-drive layout. Output is strongest in the GT-Line, where the two motors make 379 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.
• Safety package: Highway Driving Assist is standard, pairing adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assist and lane-change assist. Forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking add intersection braking assistance, front cross-traffic braking assistance, and oncoming collision mitigation. Evasive steering assist is also standard, and blind-spot monitors include steering assistance. Higher trims add a surround-view camera system, blind-spot cameras, low-speed braking, and available Remote Smart Parking Assist.
• Infotainment: You get triple screens in a single curved display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, and Kia Connect services. The system also supports multiple Bluetooth pairings and digital key technology.
• Range & charging: The EV9 offers up to 305 miles of range, a usable battery capacity of 99.8 kWh on the long-range pack, and DC fast charging up to 350 kilowatts. Kia says a 10% to 80% recharge can take 24 minutes under optimum conditions.
• Battery health: On a used EV, you should check battery state-of-health, review charging habits, and confirm whether the vehicle has spent most of its life on home charging or frequent DC fast charging. You should also verify how much of the battery warranty remains.

Which 2026 Kia EV9 trim should I buy?

The 2026 Kia EV9 is offered in 4 trim levels: Light, Wind, Land, and GT-Line.

Here's the short version:

• Light: This is the trim to consider if you want the EV9’s entry point and are comfortable with the single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup. It is the only trim tied to the standard-range battery choice, and it gives you the core EV9 experience without moving up the ladder.
• Wind: This trim is the first step into the long-range dual-motor all-wheel-drive lineup, so it makes sense if you want more range and traction than the Light without jumping all the way to the top.
• Land: This is the best-value trim if you want a more complete EV9 experience, since it sits in the middle of the lineup and pairs the long-range dual-motor setup with a more upscale feature set.
• GT-Line: Choose this if you want the most premium EV9 experience, including the 12-inch head-up display and the richest mix of tech and upscale touches. It is the trim for buyers who want the fullest feature content and are willing to pay for it.

Highway Driving Assist is standard across the lineup, and the available camera-based parking features become more prominent as you move up the trim ladder.

Is the 2026 Kia EV9 safe?

The 2026 Kia EV9 earns five-star ratings from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick+ award from IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The EV9’s safety suite is extensive. Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning and automatic emergency braking with intersection braking assistance, front cross-traffic braking assistance, and oncoming collision mitigation. Evasive steering assist is standard, and the blind-spot monitors include steering assistance that can actively try to prevent an unsafe lane change.

Highway Driving Assist is standard as well, with adaptive cruise control, lane-centering assist, and lane-change assist. Kia also offers a surround-view camera system, blind-spot cameras, low-speed braking to avoid parking collisions, and Remote Smart Parking Assist on higher trims.

One caveat is that Highway Driving Assist can behave inconsistently, especially when speed management and curve braking are involved.

Should I buy a 2026 Kia EV9 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2026 model adds a longer range, a Nightfall Edition package, fresh colors, and a new Terrain driving mode.

The bottom line: If you want the most current version of the EV9’s range, charging, and feature set, the 2026 model is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, you can shop the market carefully and focus on well-kept examples, since the used inventory is relatively clean and there are still enough listings to compare.
