New & Used 2026 INFINITI QX80 for Sale nearSanta Cruz, CA

Is the 2026 INFINITI QX80 a good car?

The 2026 INFINITI QX80 earns a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It fits your needs best if you want a traditional body-on-frame luxury SUV that prioritizes space, towing ability, and refinement. The QX80 can carry up to seven people and tow up to 8,500 pounds, and the cabin is described as comfortable and luxurious, which helps it feel more upscale than a purely utility-focused vehicle.

The trade-offs are clear: it is too big and too inefficient to work well as an everyday family hauler, and its fuel economy can be as low as 17 mpg combined. Its massive size also makes handling cumbersome, and prices can reach six figures.

With 36.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively if this kind of SUV fits your use case.

Is the 2026 INFINITI QX80 reliable?

The 2026 INFINITI QX80 is presented as a robust, body-on-frame SUV with a strong towing focus and a redesigned platform that brings more rigidity than the previous generation. Its twin-turbo V6 is described as immediate in power delivery, strong from a stop, and well matched to the nine-speed automatic, which supports the sense that the drivetrain is built for confident everyday use and heavy-duty tasks.

Infiniti also backs the QX80 with a 48-month, 60,000-mile warranty, and the available air suspension and adaptive dampers are positioned as useful hardware for comfort and control. The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house, which helps soften early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this is still a large, complex luxury SUV, so upkeep and repair costs can rise if prior maintenance was neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 INFINITI QX80?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report, verify service records, and prioritize a thorough inspection of the suspension, electronics, and interior features that make this SUV appealing. Because the QX80 is large and heavily equipped, condition matters a lot more than mileage alone. Pay close attention to how the vehicle drives at low speeds and over rough pavement, since size and ride quality are central to the ownership experience.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim misses some useful comfort and convenience equipment, while the higher trims add air suspension, adaptive dampers, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and power-folding second- and third-row seats.
• Powertrain: You get a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 450 hp and a nine-speed automatic; rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is optional on the lower trims.
• Safety package: ProPilot Assist 1.1 is standard, along with automatic emergency braking, high-beam assist, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, active blind-spot monitors that cover a trailer, rear automatic braking, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, a driver-attention monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and a surround-view camera system with moving object detection. ProPilot Assist 2.1 is the only option.
• Infotainment: You get dual 14.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google built-in, and Amazon Alexa compatibility.
• Fuel efficiency: It is rated at 15 mpg city, 19 highway, and 17 combined with 4WD, or 16/20/18 mpg with RWD.

Which 2026 INFINITI QX80 trim should I buy?

The 2026 INFINITI QX80 is offered in 4 trim levels: Pure, Luxe, Sport, and Autograph.

Here's the short version:

• Pure: This is the entry point, but you give up some of the comfort hardware that makes the QX80 feel properly luxurious. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable keeping the equipment list simpler.
• Luxe: This is the best-value trim. It adds the air suspension and adaptive dampers, plus leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and power-folding second- and third-row seats, which are all meaningful upgrades for daily use.
• Sport: This trim is mostly an appearance package rather than a true performance upgrade. It adds visual changes inside and out, but it does not bring sporty hardware to match the name.
• Autograph: This is the fully loaded choice, with biometric cooling, massaging seats, heated third-row seats, an in-vehicle camera, a front console coolbox, and the hands-free version of ProPilot Assist.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, while ProPilot Assist 2.1 is the only option.
