New & Used 2026 INFINITI QX80 for Sale nearChattanooga, TN

Is the 2026 INFINITI QX80 a good car?

The 2026 INFINITI QX80 earns a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It fits best if you want a traditional body-on-frame luxury SUV that prioritizes space, towing ability, and refinement. The QX80 can carry up to seven people and tow up to 8,500 pounds, and its cabin is described as comfortable and luxurious. Those strengths help it stand out if you need more capability than a typical crossover can offer.

The trade-offs are clear: it is heavy and inefficient, and its massive size makes handling cumbersome. It also carries pricing that can reach six figures, so it makes the most sense if you will actually use its size and towing strength.

Good and great deals account for 34.9% of listings, which gives you a reasonable amount of market choice.

Is the 2026 INFINITI QX80 reliable?

The 2026 INFINITI QX80 is described as a traditional body-on-frame SUV with a redesigned platform that is more rigid than before, which supports its durability story. Its twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, and the truck-based layout is built for heavy-duty use such as towing and carrying passengers.

Infiniti also backs the QX80 with a 48-month, 60,000-mile warranty, which helps with early ownership confidence. The powertrain is presented as strong and immediate, and the platform changes are framed as a meaningful step forward in structural stiffness.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that this is still a large, complex luxury SUV with high operating demands, so upkeep and wear can be more consequential than on a smaller crossover.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 INFINITI QX80?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially because this is a large luxury SUV with a lot of technology and a complex chassis. Focus on overall condition, signs of heavy use, and whether the equipment you want is actually present on the specific truck you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Pure starts the lineup with the core luxury-SUV formula, while the Luxe adds the air suspension and adaptive dampers along with leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and power-folding second- and third-row seats. The Sport is mainly an appearance package rather than a true performance upgrade, and the Autobiography brings the most equipment, including biometric cooling, massaging seats, heated third-row seats, an in-vehicle camera, a front console coolbox, and hands-free ProPilot Assist.
• Powertrain: The QX80 uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 450 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is optional on the lower trims and standard on the upper trims.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes automatic emergency braking, high-beam assist, adaptive cruise control, ProPilot Assist 1.1, forward-collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, active blind-spot monitors that cover a trailer, rear automatic braking, front and rear parking sensors, lane-departure warning, a driver-attention monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and a surround-view camera system with moving object detection. ProPilot Assist 2.1 is the only option.
• Infotainment: You get a pair of 14.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google built-in, Amazon Alexa compatibility, and a 5G connection for hotspot and remote services. A front-passenger screen is not offered.
• Fuel efficiency: With 4WD, it is rated at 15 mpg city, 19 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined; with RWD, it returns 16 mpg city, 20 mpg highway, and 18 mpg combined.

Which 2026 INFINITI QX80 trim should I buy?

The 2026 INFINITI QX80 is offered in 4 trim levels: Pure, Luxe, Sport, and Autobiography.

Here's the short version:

• Pure: This is the entry point, but the Luxe is the better value if you want the QX80 to feel properly equipped for luxury use.
• Luxe: This is the best-value trim because it adds the air suspension and adaptive dampers, plus leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and power-folding second- and third-row seats.
• Sport: This trim is mainly about appearance, not added sporty capability, so it makes sense only if you want the darker exterior and interior treatment.
• Autobiography: This is the fully loaded choice, with biometric cooling, massaging seats, heated third-row seats, an in-vehicle camera, a front console coolbox, and hands-free ProPilot Assist.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, while ProPilot Assist 2.1 is the only option.

Should I buy a 2026 INFINITI QX80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• It adds a new Sport trim while keeping the QX80’s luxury, space, and towing strengths intact.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It brings the redesigned QX80 with fresh styling, a new powertrain, and updated tech.

The bottom line: Choose the 2026 if you want the latest version of the redesigned QX80 and are shopping the current market for a well-equipped full-size luxury SUV. If you are more price-sensitive, the 2025 is worth a look because it delivers the core redesign benefits and may offer a lower entry point.
