New & Used 2026 Hyundai Palisade for Sale nearCarbondale, IL

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — 5/5 user rating and 8.83/10 expert rating point to a strong overall package. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is presented as a redesigned three-row SUV that leans into family-friendly utility with more style than a minivan. It stands out for its spacious cabin, comfortable ride, and broad usefulness for buyers who want everyday comfort without giving up three-row practicality.

The main trade-offs are that the XRT trim gives up some luxury features and fuel economy trails top rivals. Even so, the Palisade’s comfort, space, and versatility make it a compelling choice for families and shoppers who want a roomy SUV with a more polished feel.

45.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a solid market to shop.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is described as a well-rounded, family-focused SUV with a refined driving character and a comfortable, quiet ride. Its standard V6 is called quiet and refined, and the transmission shifts smoothly in everyday driving. Hyundai also backs it with a five-year/60,000-mile new-vehicle warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, which helps support confidence in long-term ownership.

The Palisade’s dependability story is also helped by its straightforward mechanical setup and comfortable tuning, which should appeal to used buyers who want a predictable ownership experience. For long-term buyers, the main risk is that higher-mileage examples may reflect the usual wear that comes with a large three-row SUV used for family duty.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Hyundai Palisade?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on higher-mileage family haulers. Focus on interior wear, tire condition, brake condition, and signs of heavy use in the second and third rows. If you’re considering an AWD or XRT Pro model, pay extra attention to underbody condition and any evidence of off-road use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SE uses a smaller 4.2-inch digital display, while all other models get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The XRT trim loses luxury features, so you should compare it carefully against better-equipped trims if cabin polish matters to you.
• Powertrain: The standard setup is a 3.5-liter V6 with 287 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. FWD is standard and AWD is optional, and the Palisade is tuned for smooth, refined everyday driving rather than quick acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, forward attention warning, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors. SEL Premium adds side parking sensors, while Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist. Highway Driving Assist I is standard on all but Calligraphy, which gets Highway Driving Assist II with lane-change assistance.
• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch center touchscreen is standard, along with onboard navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. SEL Premium, XRT Pro, Limited, and Calligraphy models add a Surround View Monitor camera system, and Calligraphy also gets integrated front and rear dashcams.
• Fuel efficiency: FWD models are rated at 19 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined. AWD models drop by 1 mpg across the board.

Which 2026 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 6 trim levels: SE, SEL, SEL Premium, XRT Pro, Limited, and Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Palisade experience at the lowest price. It’s the trim to consider if you want the spacious cabin and standard safety tech without paying for extras, but you’ll miss the larger digital instrument cluster found on the higher trims.
• SEL: This is the first step up if you want a more balanced mix of price and equipment. It adds value over SE without jumping too far up the ladder, making it a sensible choice for many shoppers.
• SEL Premium: This is the best-value trim for many buyers because it adds the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the Surround View Monitor. It also gets side parking sensors, which makes it a smart pick if you want more convenience and safety tech without going all the way to the luxury trims.
• XRT Pro: This is the rugged choice, with all-terrain tires, 8.4 inches of ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, recovery hooks, and off-road display features. It’s the one to choose if you want the most utility-focused version, though it doesn’t have the same luxury finish as the Calligraphy.
• Limited: This trim adds a more upscale feel and is one of the models that can be equipped with the factory-installed tow hitch. It also gets the Surround View Monitor and the Bose audio system, making it a strong pick if you want comfort and towing capability together.
• Calligraphy: This is the top luxury trim, with the most premium presentation, integrated front and rear dashcams, evasive steering assist, and Highway Driving Assist II. It’s the right choice if you want the most features and the most upscale cabin.

Is the 2026 Hyundai Palisade safe?

The 2026 Hyundai Palisade hadn’t received safety ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety at press time.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Palisade comes standard with a broad driver-assistance suite that includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, forward attention warning, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors. SEL Premium adds side parking sensors, while Calligraphy adds evasive steering assist.

Highway Driving Assist I is standard on all but Calligraphy, which gets Highway Driving Assist II with lane-change assistance. One caveat is that the system’s cyclist detection was not perfect in testing, so you should still treat the driver-assist tech as a backup rather than a substitute for attention.

Should I buy a 2026 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 45.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Hyundai redesigned the Palisade for 2026, making it more refined, more spacious, and more compelling than before.

Consider the 2025 if:

• The outgoing model still offers strong space, styling, and packaging value.

The bottom line: If you want the most polished and up-to-date Palisade, the 2026 is the better pick. If your priority is saving money and you find a well-priced 2025, that older model still makes sense as a value play.
