New & Used 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona for Sale nearIthaca, NY

Is the 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona a good car?

The 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona earns a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

It makes the strongest case for itself as a four-door electric muscle car that adds practicality to its extraordinary performance. The retro styling carries real visual presence, and the cabin is spacious, which helps it feel more usable than a pure weekend toy.

The trade-offs are just as clear: visibility is poor, the interior materials seem cheap, and the touchscreen response is sluggish. Those drawbacks matter because the car’s price pushes it into luxury-car territory, so you’re paying a premium and still getting some rough edges.

For shoppers who want style, speed, and everyday usability in one package, it’s compelling. The market also looks reasonably active, with 33.0% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona reliable?

The 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona is presented as a modern electric muscle car with a strong performance focus and a hands-on-wheel driver-assist setup rather than a hands-free system. Its electric drivetrain and AWD layout should reduce some of the mechanical complexity you’d associate with a traditional high-output gas muscle car.

The performance content also points to a robust EV package: dual motors, a large battery pack, and repeatable acceleration without the drama of managing a high-strung combustion engine. On the ownership side, the cost-effectiveness content notes that the electric Daytona delivers more room, more power, and better tech than the old gas Charger, which supports the idea that it’s built to be used regularly.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is the usual EV ownership question: battery condition and charging history matter more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a high-priced performance EV where repairs can be expensive. Focus on cabin condition, touchscreen behavior, and whether the car’s equipment matches the trim and option packages you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The four-door body style preserves the retro roofline, and the lineup is centered on Scat Pack trim. Base-car feature gaps matter here because the available packages add meaningful equipment, including the Plus Group, Blacktop Package, Track Package, and Carbon & Suede Package.
• Powertrain: The Charger Daytona uses two 250-kilowatt electric motors, one front and one rear, for AWD. Output is 630 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, with 670 hp available through Power Shot.
• Safety package: Active Driving Assist is the named driver-assistance suite, and it uses adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assist. Standard equipment also includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and parking sensors to the front, side, and rear. Surround-view cameras and a blind-spot camera are included only with the available Plus Group.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and over-the-air connected features through Dodge Connect. The system also includes a digital instrument display and a head-up display.
• Range & charging: The battery pack is 100.5 kWh, with 93.9 kWh usable capacity. DC fast charging can take the battery from 20% to 80% in 24 minutes, while home charging on an 11-kW AC setup takes 5.4 hours for the same charge window.
• Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, ask how the car was typically charged, and confirm whether it spent most of its life on home charging or frequent DC fast charging. Also verify how much of the battery warranty remains so you know what protection you still have.

Which 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona trim should I buy?

The 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona is offered in 1 trim level: Scat Pack.

Here's the short version:

The Scat Pack is the only trim, so your decision is really about which options you want. It already delivers the core appeal of the car: huge electric performance, AWD traction, and the retro four-door design. If you want the best version of this car, this is it by default, and the available packages are what meaningfully change the experience. The safety package note to keep in mind is that surround-view cameras and a blind-spot camera are tied to the available Plus Group.

Should I buy a 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• For 2026, Dodge adds a four-door body style that improves practicality without giving up the car’s performance character.

Consider the 2025 if:

• The 2025 emphasizes the Charger Daytona’s dramatic styling, instant acceleration, and guilty-pleasure appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the most practical version of the electric Charger Daytona, the 2026 is the better target because the four-door layout adds everyday usefulness without changing the car’s core personality. If you’re shopping mainly on price, the 2025 can still make sense if you’re willing to trade some practicality for a lower entry point.
