What should I look for when buying a used 2026 BMW i4?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s condition matches its listing details. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the battery-related systems, charging equipment, tires, brakes, and interior wear, since those areas can reveal how the car was used and maintained. Focus on examples with consistent service records and clean cosmetic condition so you can separate the best cars from the merely available ones.

Should I buy a 2026 BMW i4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 98% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It adds subtle updates, a new infotainment system, and Plug & Charge convenience.

The bottom line: If you want the current-year i4 and are comfortable shopping a moderate market, the 2026 is the cleaner primary path because you can compare a solid pool of accident-free listings and still find deal-priced examples. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2025 is worth a look because it brings meaningful updates and may offer a lower entry point.
