New & Used 2026 BMW 8 Series for Sale nearPortland, ME

Is the 2026 BMW 8 Series a good car?

The 2026 BMW 8 Series stands out as a luxury grand tourer that blends strong performance with a polished, high-tech cabin. It offers a comfortable but sporty ride and handling, and it also benefits from excellent rear passenger room. Those strengths make it appealing if you want a car that feels upscale and capable without giving up everyday usability.

It is also distinctive for the breadth of its powertrain lineup. The available engines include a 3.0-liter inline-six with 394 horsepower, a 4.4-liter V8 with 536 hp, and plug-in hybrid versions rated at 483 hp and 560 hp. That range gives you a broad performance spread, while the mild-hybrid systems help support fuel economy. The tradeoffs are familiar for this class: options can be expensive, depreciation is high, and the turning circle is poor.

With 34.2% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have a moderate amount of market leverage if you shop carefully.

Should I buy a 2026 BMW 8 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 34.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

The bottom line: The 2026 is the better primary path if you want the strongest mix of current-year availability and clean inventory in this lineup. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing for a lower entry point, but you should still prioritize condition and deal quality over age alone.
