How much does the 2026 BMW 4 Series cost?

Is the 2026 BMW 4 Series a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2026 BMW 4 Series, and the model’s appeal comes from its coupe-like style, broad range of body styles, and strong equipment list. It also offers a premium interior, a wide range of options and packages, and the kind of driving character BMW buyers expect, while the 2026 model year remains largely a carryover. The divisive styling is the main tradeoff, especially if you prefer a more conventional look.

With 35.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2026 BMW 4 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 BMW 4 Series is described as a carryover model with an established formula, which can be reassuring if you want a known quantity rather than a major redesign. It also shares many mechanical and interior parts with the contemporary 3 Series, and BMW equips it with a strong standard feature set.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about novelty and more about making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and matches your expectations for style and equipment.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 BMW 4 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re seriously considering, even when the market looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check the condition of the brakes, tires, electronics, and interior wear before you commit.

Because this model is as much about presentation as performance, focus on cosmetic condition, feature operation, and whether the car’s equipment matches the listing details.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 BMW 4 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 836 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.34% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $53,560, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 BMW 4 Series's resale value?

The current average of $53,587 sits slightly below last year's $57,834.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to help you buy more selectively today, but it also means a future seller may face some depreciation pressure if pricing stays soft. If you buy well now, you can reduce the risk of overpaying and improve your odds of holding value better over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2026 BMW 4 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2026 if you want the current 4 Series formula, a strong equipment list, and a market that gives you some negotiating room. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may still be worth comparing, but the 2026 is the better pick when you want the latest version of this design and feature set.
