How much does the 2025 Volvo EX90 cost?

Prices have softened 26.66% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 174 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Volvo EX90 a good car?

The 2025 Volvo EX90 earns an 8/10 expert rating and is positioned as an all-new electric three-row SUV for growing families who want EV range, quick charging, and upscale practicality in one package.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Its strengths are clear: you get a stylish, modern design, a comfortable cabin, and impressive technology, all wrapped in a vehicle that feels practical for family use. The trade-offs are that it is priced on the high end, and the sunroof lacks adequate shade.

The EX90 also looks appealing from a market standpoint, with 21.8% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Volvo EX90 reliable?

The EX90 is presented as a well-built, capable electric SUV with Volvo’s safety-first approach built into the vehicle’s design and feature set. Its performance notes emphasize smooth, intuitive power delivery, quiet operation, and a comfortable ride, which are all encouraging signs for day-to-day ownership.

The tech package also points to a vehicle designed to stay current over time, including an over-the-air update path for future functionality. The available bi-directional charging setup adds a practical ownership perk if you want the vehicle to support home power use.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that this is a complex, high-tech EV, so you should be especially careful about software behavior, charging performance, and the condition of the battery and electronics.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Volvo EX90?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 99.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Even with strong clean-inventory odds, you should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection. Focus on how the cabin electronics behave, whether charging is consistent, and whether the vehicle’s condition matches its premium positioning.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is minimalist and upscale, with a large panoramic sunroof, a tablet-like central touchscreen, and a smaller digital instrument panel. The base setup is already well equipped, but the sunroof shade is a notable weak point to check for comfort.
• Powertrain: The EX90 uses a standard dual-motor all-wheel drive setup. The Twin Motor Performance model delivers 510 horsepower and 671 pound-feet of torque, while the base Twin Motor variant makes 402 horsepower and 567 pound-feet of torque.
• Safety package: Pilot Assist is standard and combines adaptive cruise control with lane centering. Standard safety equipment also includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view camera system, automatic reverse braking, a semi-automated parking system, a passenger safe exit warning, a rear-seat passenger reminder with internal radar, and a traffic-sign reader.
• Infotainment: Standard tech includes a 14.5-inch central infotainment touchscreen, a small horizontal digital instrument panel, a head-up display, wireless Apple CarPlay, a wireless charging pad, and a Bose audio system. The system also runs on a Google-based platform and supports over-the-air updates.
• Range & charging: The EX90 is estimated to return up to 310 miles on a single charge, or 300 miles with larger wheels. It uses a 111-kWh battery pack with 107 kWh usable capacity and can DC fast-charge at up to 250 kW, with a 10-to-80 percent charge taking as little as 30 minutes.
• Battery health: On a used EV, you should verify battery state-of-health, ask about typical charging habits, and confirm whether the vehicle has spent most of its life on home charging or frequent DC fast charging. You should also check how much of the battery warranty remains.

Which 2025 Volvo EX90 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Volvo EX90 is offered in 2 trim levels: Plus and Ultra.

Here's the short version:

• Plus: This is the entry point and the best-value choice if you want the EX90’s core strengths without stretching to the top end. It already gives you the three-row EV layout, the standard dual-motor setup, and the full safety and tech foundation.
• Ultra: Choose this if you want the more premium experience and the added hardware that comes with the higher trim. The active air suspension is reserved for the top Ultra trim, so this is the pick if ride refinement matters most to you.

Pilot Assist is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim to get Volvo’s core driver-assistance system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Volvo EX90?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 21.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 174 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 26.66% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 99.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $52,589, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Volvo EX90's resale value?

The current average of $52,589 sits slightly below last year's $71,704.

That drop suggests the EX90 has moved into a more buyer-friendly pricing zone, which can help you if you are shopping now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect depreciation pressure to remain a factor, especially if newer EV alternatives continue to compete aggressively on price and features.

Because the current average is still well above the year-round low, condition and equipment will matter a lot when it comes time to resell. A well-kept example with strong battery health and desirable equipment should hold up better than one with visible wear or incomplete charging history.

Is the 2025 Volvo EX90 safe?

The 2025 Volvo EX90 has not yet received published crash-test results from NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a surround-view camera system, automatic reverse braking, a semi-automated parking system, a passenger safe exit warning, a rear-seat passenger reminder with internal radar, and a traffic-sign reader. Pilot Assist is also standard, combining adaptive cruise control with lane centering to reduce driver fatigue.

There is one caveat to keep in mind: during testing, the frontal collision system briefly applied the brakes on a twisty road when it mistook an oncoming vehicle as a potential obstacle. That kind of false alarm is not unusual for similar systems, but it is worth noting if you want the smoothest possible driver-assistance behavior.

Should I buy a 2025 Volvo EX90 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 21.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 99.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 26.66% compared with last year.
• The all-new EX90 brings Volvo’s safety-first approach, sophisticated technology, and three-row EV practicality together in one package.

The bottom line: If you want the newest EX90 with the strongest mix of safety, technology, and family-friendly EV capability, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is simply getting into an EX90 at the lowest possible price, you should also keep an eye on older examples and compare condition, equipment, and battery health carefully before deciding.
