Used 2025 Volkswagen Jetta for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2025 Volkswagen Jetta cost?

Prices have softened 7.96% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,158 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Volkswagen Jetta a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Volkswagen Jetta earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

The Jetta’s appeal is strongest if you want an affordable compact sedan with plenty of passenger space, a large trunk, and a fuel-efficient engine with plenty of zip. Volkswagen also updated the styling, interior, handling, and standard technology for 2025, which helps the car feel more polished and distinctive.

The main trade-offs are frustrating touch-sensitive climate controls and the lack of a hybrid option. It also doesn’t offer all-wheel drive, so if you want maximum traction or a more efficiency-focused powertrain, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Volkswagen Jetta reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Jetta’s standard equipment and straightforward mechanical setup support an ownership experience that should feel familiar and manageable for used buyers. Volkswagen also includes two years or 20,000 miles of complimentary scheduled service, three years of roadside assistance, and five years of connected remote features, which adds some early ownership value.

Its turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine makes 158 horsepower and pairs with an eight-speed automatic, while the car’s fuel economy and everyday drivability help it feel efficient without being dull. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is that the Jetta is still a mainstream compact sedan with some rivals offering more efficient or more versatile alternatives.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Volkswagen Jetta?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re shopping outside the cleanest listings. Pay close attention to the climate-control interface, infotainment operation, and overall cabin condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect day-to-day satisfaction.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Volkswagen offers the 2025 Jetta in S, Sport, SE, and SEL trim levels. The S and Sport come with an 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Car-Net connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot, while the SE adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, wireless smartphone charging, and voice recognition. The SEL adds a 10.25-inch digital driver display, navigation, eight Beats Audio speakers, leather upholstery, ambient interior lighting, and additional comfort features.
• Powertrain: The Jetta uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 158 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. It’s tuned for efficiency and everyday punch rather than outright speed, and all-wheel drive is not available.
• Safety package: Every 2025 Jetta gets IQ.Drive, Volkswagen’s driver-assistance suite. It includes blind-spot monitoring with active collision avoidance and Lane Assist, plus Emergency Assist, which can bring the car to a safe stop and activate the hazard lights if the driver becomes unresponsive while Lane Assist is active. Base-trim equipment is competitive, but the Jetta still isn’t a segment leader in safety ratings.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8-inch digital instrumentation panel. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto arrive on the SE, while the SEL adds a more sophisticated 10.25-inch Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro display. The system’s controls can be frustrating, so it’s worth testing before you buy.
• Fuel efficiency: The Jetta’s window sticker lists 33 mpg in combined driving, and testing returned 31.8 mpg. The SEL also averaged as much as 38 mpg on the highway during testing.

Which 2025 Volkswagen Jetta trim should I buy?

The 2025 Volkswagen Jetta is offered in 4 trim levels: S, Sport, SE, and SEL.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Jetta experience with the standard 8-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Car-Net connected services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup and don’t need the extra convenience features.
• Sport: This trim adds the sport-tuned suspension that helps the Jetta feel more rewarding to drive, making it the best-value choice if you care about the car’s driving character. It also keeps the same core tech as the S, so you get a more engaging setup without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• SE: This is the smart upgrade if you want the most useful everyday tech, because it adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, wireless smartphone charging, and voice recognition. It’s the trim that best balances convenience and value for many shoppers.
• SEL: This is the most upscale version, with the 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro, navigation, Beats Audio, leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and extra comfort features. It suits you best if you want the most polished Jetta experience and are willing to pay for it.

Volkswagen’s IQ.Drive safety suite is standard across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Volkswagen Jetta?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,158 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.96% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,731, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Volkswagen Jetta's resale value?

The current average of $19,731 sits slightly below last year's $21,437.

That softer pricing suggests the Jetta has become easier to buy used, but it also means future sellers may face a more competitive resale environment if the market stays loose. If you’re planning to own one for a while, the current price drop can work in your favor now, even if it trims some near-term resale upside later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Volkswagen Jetta safe?

The 2025 Volkswagen Jetta earns five-star ratings from NHTSA and Good ratings in the IIHS small overlap front crash test and original versions of the moderate overlap front and side-impact tests, but it received an Acceptable rating in the updated side crash test.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Volkswagen’s IQ.Drive suite is standard, and it includes blind-spot monitoring with active collision avoidance, Lane Assist, and Emergency Assist. That gives you a strong set of driver aids for the class, and the system worked with notable precision during testing.

The main caveat is that the Jetta isn’t a class leader in safety ratings, and the updated IIHS side result is a reminder to review crash performance carefully if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2025 Volkswagen Jetta or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Expert or safety highlight specific to this year from the refreshed styling, improved interior, upgraded handling, and added standard technology.

The bottom line: If you want the most polished version of this compact sedan’s current formula, the 2025 is the one to target because it brings the styling, interior, handling, and tech updates that make the car feel more refined. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, a nearby model year may be worth considering, but the 2025’s softer pricing and strong inventory make it a sensible place to shop first.
