How much does the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,089 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from users and 6.83/10 from experts point to a Land Cruiser that lands well with shoppers and testers alike. The model is aimed at you if you want a two-row midsize SUV that can travel almost anywhere, with a stylish design and strong off-road ability. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

The trade-offs are clear: the turbocharged hybrid powertrain is better at supplying power than efficiency, and the SUV is described as having poor fuel economy, poor handling, and an uncomfortable back seat. Even so, the overall package fits buyers who value capability and a modern, easy-to-use cabin more than maximum efficiency.

The market also looks reasonably supportive, with 30.9% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The Land Cruiser is presented as a rugged, body-on-frame SUV with a proven mission: it shares its platform with the 4Runner and Tacoma, and its hybrid setup is built around power and durability rather than chasing efficiency. The expert evaluation also describes it as a capable daily driver and weekend adventurer.

Toyota’s complimentary scheduled service for two years or 25,000 miles adds a helpful ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the same powertrain and off-road hardware that make it appealing can also mean higher running costs if you drive it hard or expect strong fuel economy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the SUV has seen trail use or heavy towing. Focus on tire wear, suspension condition, and signs of underbody damage, since this model is built for off-road travel and may have been used that way. It also makes sense to verify that the cabin electronics, driver-assistance systems, and any package-installed features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 1958 trim has a retro look, cloth seats, basic equipment, and fewer colors, while the Land Cruiser trim adds a more modern, upscale appearance, larger screens, more colors, and critical off-roading hardware and software. The Land Cruiser trim is the better value if you want the fuller experience.
• Powertrain: Every model uses Toyota’s i-Force Max hybrid system with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, an electric motor, and an eight-speed automatic transmission. It makes 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, and the setup is tuned more for power than efficiency.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, road sign reader, automatic high beams, and Predictive Driving Assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are separate from the suite, and Premium Package upgrades add front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and Traffic Jam Assist.
• Infotainment: The Land Cruiser trim upgrades to dual 12.3-inch displays, and the Toyota Audio Multimedia system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, connected services, cloud navigation, and a conversational digital assistant. The Premium Package adds a wireless charger, head-up display, digital rearview mirror, digital key, and a 14-speaker JBL system.
• Fuel efficiency: The official EPA rating is 23 mpg combined, but the test vehicle returned 15.7 mpg in real-world driving.

Which 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser is offered in 2 trim levels: 1958 and Land Cruiser.

Here's the short version:

• 1958: This is the entry point, with a retro look, cloth seats, basic equipment, and fewer paint choices. It saves you $4,770 versus the Land Cruiser trim, but the expert verdict recommends upgrading if the budget allows.
• Land Cruiser: This is the best-value trim if you want the full Land Cruiser experience. It adds a more modern and upscale look, larger screens, more colors, a nicer interior, and the off-road hardware and software that make the SUV feel more complete.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on both trims, while the Premium Package adds extra safety and convenience features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser?

This looks like a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,089 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 97.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,035, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser's resale value?

The current average of $62,222 sits slightly below last year's $62,420.

That small decline suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is usually helpful if you plan to sell later. A steady price pattern can make it easier to estimate your future trade-in or private-party value. The Land Cruiser’s strong reputation and broad appeal should help support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser safe?

The 2025 Land Cruiser earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in side-impact testing from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2025 Land Cruiser includes Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which brings forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a road sign reader, automatic high beams, and Predictive Driving Assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard, while Premium Package models add front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and Traffic Jam Assist.

One caveat is that the lane-centering and adaptive cruise systems did not always behave smoothly in testing, so you should pay attention to how the driver-assistance tech feels on your usual roads.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 keeps the current 250-series formula and adds a more refined, upscale Land Cruiser trim with stronger tech and off-road hardware.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $60,091, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $62,222 average.
• It is the all-new return of Toyota’s original SUV, with retro styling and strong off-road ability.

The bottom line: If you want the current-year version with stable pricing, strong inventory, and the more polished trim structure, the 2025 is the better target. If your priority is saving money and you’re comfortable with the earlier redesign year, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
