How much does the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,088 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated SUV with an expert score of 6.8/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

It’s built for traveling almost anywhere at almost any time, and its rugged platform sharing with the 4Runner and Tacoma reinforces that mission. The trade-off is that it’s better at supplying power than efficiency, so you’re buying capability first and foremost.

The main drawbacks are poor fuel economy and poor handling, plus an uncomfortable back seat. If you want a stylish, go-anywhere SUV and can live with those compromises, it fits the brief well.

Good and great deals account for 32.0% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Land Cruiser is positioned as a durable, body-on-frame SUV with serious off-road hardware and a turbocharged hybrid setup that prioritizes power. Its standard four-wheel-drive system, locking differentials, and crawl-focused hardware point to a vehicle built for demanding use.

Toyota also includes two years or 25,000 miles of complimentary scheduled service, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that its thirst for fuel and premium positioning can make ownership more expensive than you might expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the truck’s off-road hardware, electronics, and driver-assistance features all work as intended. A pre-purchase inspection is especially smart if the vehicle has seen trail use, since suspension, underbody, and wheel/tire wear can tell you a lot about how it was driven. Focus on overall condition, because this SUV’s value depends heavily on whether it has been used as a daily driver or as a hard-working adventure rig.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 1958 trim has a retro look, cloth seats, basic equipment, and fewer colors, while the Land Cruiser trim adds a more modern, upscale interior, larger screens, more colors, and critical off-roading hardware and software.
• Powertrain: Every model uses Toyota’s i-Force Max hybrid system with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and an electric motor; output is 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, road sign reader, automatic high beams, and Predictive Driving Assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are separate, and the Premium Package adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and Traffic Jam Assist.
• Infotainment: The Land Cruiser trim upgrades to dual 12.3-inch displays and adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, connected services, cloud-based navigation, and a conversational digital assistant.
• Fuel efficiency: The official EPA rating is 23 mpg combined, but the test vehicle averaged 15.7 mpg in real-world driving.

Which 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser is offered in 2 trim levels: 1958, Land Cruiser.

Here's the short version:

• 1958: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Land Cruiser’s core rugged identity at the lowest price. It keeps the retro styling, cloth seats, and basic equipment, so it makes sense if you want the nameplate and capability without paying for the nicer cabin and added off-road tech.
• Land Cruiser: This is the better-value choice for most shoppers because it adds the more modern, upscale look, larger screens, more colors, and the critical off-road hardware and software that make the SUV feel fully realized. It’s the trim to choose if you want the version that best matches the Land Cruiser’s mission.

The Premium Package adds useful safety and convenience upgrades, including front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and Traffic Jam Assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser?

This looks like a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,088 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 96.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $61,921, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser's resale value?

The current average of $61,921 sits slightly below last year's $62,486.

That small decline suggests the market has stayed relatively stable rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that usually means you’re not fighting a steep depreciation cliff, but you also shouldn’t expect a sudden price spike.

Because the Land Cruiser has strong demand from shoppers who want capability and brand heritage, well-kept examples should remain appealing. Condition, mileage, and equipment will matter a lot when it’s time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser safe?

The 2025 Land Cruiser earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in side-impact testing from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it brings forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, road sign reader, automatic high beams, and Predictive Driving Assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard, while the Premium Package adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and Traffic Jam Assist.

One caveat is that the lane-centering and adaptive cruise systems struggled in some driving conditions, and the lane-centering assist could deactivate without a clear warning.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 96.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 keeps the Land Cruiser’s rugged two-row formula while adding easy-to-use technology and strong off-road hardware.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $59,523, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $61,921 average.
• The 2024 is an all-new return of Toyota’s original SUV with retro styling and strong off-road ability.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the current-year market and the same core Land Cruiser formula with strong capability and easy-to-use tech. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter value play because it delivers the same basic mission for less money.
