How much does the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,085 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

It is built for you if you want a midsize SUV that feels ready for rough terrain and long trips alike. The design leans into rugged capability first, while still delivering a premium feel and easy-to-use technology.

The main trade-offs are poor fuel economy and poor handling, and the back seat is described as uncomfortable. Even so, the Land Cruiser’s mix of stylish design, off-road ability, and approachable tech makes it a strong fit if utility matters more to you than refinement.

32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Land Cruiser is presented as a durable, capability-first SUV with a turbocharged hybrid powertrain and full-time four-wheel drive. Its rugged hardware, including locking differentials and off-road-focused equipment, supports the idea that it is built for demanding use.

Toyota also includes two years or 25,000 miles of complimentary scheduled service, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is less about basic toughness and more about whether the vehicle was driven hard off-road or lived with neglected maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and inspect any candidate carefully, especially if it has been used for trail duty or long-distance travel. Focus on tire wear, suspension condition, interior wear, and signs that the vehicle has been pushed hard off-road or loaded heavily.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 1958 trim has a retro look, cloth seats, basic equipment, and fewer colors, while the Land Cruiser trim adds a more modern, upscale appearance, larger screens, and critical off-roading hardware and software.
• Powertrain: Every model uses Toyota’s i-Force Max hybrid system with a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, an electric motor, and an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is tuned more for power than efficiency.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a road sign reader, automatic high beams, and Predictive Driving Assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are separate standard features, while the Premium Package adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and Traffic Jam Assist.
• Infotainment: The Land Cruiser trim upgrades to dual 12.3-inch displays and adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, connected services, cloud-based navigation, and a conversational digital assistant.
• Fuel efficiency: The test vehicle averaged 15.7 mpg, while the official EPA rating is 23 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser is offered in 2 trim levels: 1958 and Land Cruiser.

Here's the short version:

• 1958: This is the entry point, with a retro look, cloth seats, basic equipment, and fewer paint choices. It saves you $4,770, but the Land Cruiser trim is the better buy if you want the full experience.
• Land Cruiser: This is the best-value trim. It adds a more modern and upscale cabin, larger screens, more colors, and the key off-road hardware and software that make the SUV feel fully realized.

The Premium Package adds leather, more tech, a wireless charger, a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, and digital key technology.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,085 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 97.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,034, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser's resale value?

The current average of $62,137 sits slightly below last year's $62,377.

That small decline suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is usually helpful if you plan to sell later. A steady price trend can make it easier to estimate future value and avoid sharp depreciation surprises.

The Land Cruiser’s strong reputation and broad appeal among buyers who want capability can help support demand over time. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser safe?

The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcyclist detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a road sign reader, automatic high beams, and Predictive Driving Assist. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard, while the Premium Package adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and Traffic Jam Assist.

One caveat is that the adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assist struggled in some driving conditions, and the lane-centering system temporarily deactivated without an audible warning in one test scenario.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the rugged, off-road-focused formula while adding a more premium feel and easy-to-use technology.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $60,315, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $62,137 average.
• It is an all-new return to the U.S. market with retro styling, strong off-road capability, and modern comfort.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the current version with its refined mix of capability, tech, and market stability. If you are price-sensitive, the 2024 is the better value path because it delivers the core Land Cruiser appeal for less money.
