Is the 2025 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Toyota Camry earns a 4.9/5 user rating and an 8.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, exceptional fuel economy, and spacious interior, and they also value its strong price-to-equipment balance. The Camry’s new hybrid-only setup and all-wheel drive on every trim fit shoppers who want a practical family sedan with modern styling and tech. The main trade-offs are a noisy engine and a finicky voice assistant, so it is better suited to buyers who prioritize efficiency and everyday usability over refinement. On the road, the powertrain is described as operating smoothly in the background, which reinforces the sense that this is a car built to be easy to live with. Toyota also positions the hybrid system as efficient without demanding much from you as the driver. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about core durability and more about whether a specific car has been maintained well and kept in good condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Toyota Camry?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you are considering, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you are shopping a higher-mileage example or one with incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, especially signs of heavy use, neglected maintenance, or missing equipment that matters to you.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE trim gets 16-inch alloy wheels and fabric seating surfaces, while SE adds black 18-inch wheels and SofTex synthetic leather upholstery. XSE brings 19-inch wheels and perforated leather seats, and it also adds sporty exterior touches such as front air ducts, rear diffusers, sport-mesh grilles, and exposed dual-tip exhausts.
• Powertrain: The Camry is hybrid-only, using a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with electric motors. Front-wheel-drive models make 225 horsepower, while all-wheel-drive models use a third electric motor and make 232 horsepower. Toyota says the electronic AWD system adds traction with only a minimal impact on fuel economy.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard, and it includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, lane-tracing assist, lane-departure alert with steering assist, and road-sign assist. The Premium Plus Package on XLE and XSE adds front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, a panoramic view monitor, and traffic-jam assist.
• Infotainment: Every Camry gets an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus wireless charging and five USB ports. Higher trims upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital driver display, and XLE and XSE can add a 10-inch head-up display and a nine-speaker JBL Premium Audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: Toyota estimates 51 mpg combined for front-wheel-drive models and 50 mpg combined for all-wheel-drive models.

Which 2025 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2025 Toyota Camry is offered in 4 trim levels: LE, SE, XLE, XSE.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry point and still want the core Camry experience. You get the standard hybrid powertrain, the 8-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, so it covers the essentials well.
• SE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds a sportier look and upgraded upholstery without jumping all the way to the luxury-oriented trims. If you want a little more style and a more upscale cabin feel, this is the trim to focus on.
• XLE: This trim is aimed at comfort-focused buyers who want more premium features. It adds the larger touchscreen and digital display, and it can be equipped with the head-up display, JBL audio, and the Premium Plus Package.
• XSE: This is the most expressive trim, with the biggest wheels, the sportiest exterior details, and available premium tech and safety upgrades. It makes sense if you want the most fully dressed Camry and are willing to pay for it.

The Premium Plus Package is available on XLE and XSE, so those trims are the ones to target if you want the most advanced safety and convenience features.

• Inventory: There are 9,813 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.33% compared with last year.

What is the 2025 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $28,362 sits slightly below last year's $29,644.

That softer pricing can work in your favor if you are buying now, but it also suggests the market has adjusted downward from where it was a year ago. For a future seller, that means resale value will depend heavily on how well your car is kept and how much demand remains for efficient, well-equipped sedans. The Camry’s broad appeal and strong reputation should help support demand, but you should still expect resale to track market conditions closely.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

The lane-keeping assist system is described as firm but still easy to override when needed.

Should I buy a 2025 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It debuts a new hybrid-only powertrain, fresh styling, and updated tech.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $32,283, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $28,362 average.
• It adds a sporty Nightshade Edition trim.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Camry with strong value, efficiency, and a broad used-car selection, the 2025 is the better starting point. If you are willing to pay more for a slightly newer model year and a small styling update, the 2026 is worth a look. Price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2025, especially if they find a clean example near the low end of the range.
