Used 2025 Subaru Ascent for Sale near Missouri

How much does the 2025 Subaru Ascent cost?

Prices have softened 11.57% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,386 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Subaru Ascent a good car?

The 2025 Subaru Ascent stands out as a family-focused midsize three-row SUV with standard all-wheel drive, seven- or eight-passenger seating, and a spacious interior. It also brings practical family-friendly touches like rear doors that open to 75 degrees, 19 standard cup holders, three-zone automatic climate control, and available third-row USB charging ports.

Its appeal is strongest if you want a mainstream three-row SUV with Subaru character, useful capability, and strong safety credentials. The tradeoffs are also clear: fuel economy is not a standout, and the third row is described as cramped.

37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a meaningful share of the market to target.

Is the 2025 Subaru Ascent reliable?

The 2025 Subaru Ascent has a strong safety reputation and has been an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ every year it has been in production. It also offers the kind of everyday utility that tends to make ownership easier, including standard all-wheel drive and a spacious cabin.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright capability and more about whether the vehicle’s condition and maintenance history match its family-hauling role.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Subaru Ascent?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you plan to use the Ascent for family travel or towing. Focus on overall condition, signs of heavy interior wear, and whether the vehicle’s features and equipment work as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Subaru Ascent?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,386 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.57% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,925, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Subaru Ascent's resale value?

The current average of $36,925 sits slightly below last year's $41,754.

That decline suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can help you enter ownership at a lower cost. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should be grounded in the current softer pricing environment rather than last year’s higher benchmark. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you’ll be better positioned to protect value later.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Ascent or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.57% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $32,365, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $36,925 average.
• It offers a practical, value-focused package with standard all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2025 if you want the newer model year and are comfortable paying more for it. If your priority is value, the 2024 is the better secondary path because it delivers the core Ascent formula at a lower price.
