How much does the 2025 RAM 3500 cost?

Prices have softened 9.61% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,875 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you commit.

Is the 2025 RAM 3500 a good car?

The 2025 RAM 3500 stands out as a heavy-duty truck that has moved far beyond its original workhorse roots. In its current generation, Ram put a major emphasis on luxury and technology while also strengthening the truck’s underlying hardware, so you get serious capability with a cabin that can feel more like a daily driver than a bare-bones hauler.

What makes it especially distinctive is the combination of capability and equipment. It offers features such as a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, a 12-inch vertical infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 750-watt Harman Kardon 17-speaker audio system, while also delivering more than 35,000 pounds of towing capacity and nearly 8,000 pounds of payload capacity.

For you, that means the 2025 RAM 3500 makes the most sense if you want a heavy-duty truck that balances serious hauling strength with comfort and modern tech. 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 RAM 3500 reliable?

The 2025 RAM 3500 is described as a truck with strengthened underlying hardware, including a stronger frame, new suspension, and a new transmission for Hemi models. It also benefits from the current generation’s focus on capability and equipment, which suggests a more mature and well-developed package than a stripped-down work truck.

For you, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic usefulness and more about the realities of a very large, complex heavy-duty truck. If you plan to keep one used, expect higher stakes around maintenance, wear, and the cost of keeping a diesel- or tow-focused truck in top shape over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 RAM 3500?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any truck you’re seriously considering, especially if it has been used for towing or commercial work. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the drivetrain, suspension, brakes, and any signs of heavy-duty wear. Pay close attention to overall condition, because a truck this capable can hide a lot of hard use behind a clean appearance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 RAM 3500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and disciplined.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,875 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.61% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $68,791, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 RAM 3500's resale value?

The current average of $68,791 sits slightly below last year's $76,101.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more selectively today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck has been maintained and equipped. If you keep it clean and well-documented, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Should I buy a 2025 RAM 3500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.61% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-year pricing, broad inventory, and a well-equipped heavy-duty truck, the 2025 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby older year may be the better secondary path, especially if you’re willing to trade some freshness for a lower entry price.
