The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It is aimed at you if you want a high-end midsize SUV that still feels engaging to drive, and the base model is described as delivering an agile driving experience. The cabin is noted for premium interior materials, and standard all-wheel drive adds to its appeal. The trade-offs are that advanced safety features are not standard and options can quickly increase the price. The good-and-great-deals share sits at 32.2%, which suggests there are still some attractive listings if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Porsche Cayenne reliable?

The 2025 Porsche Cayenne is presented as a sturdy, well-built luxury SUV with a strong reputation for delivering performance without giving up daily usability.

The expert write-up emphasizes that the Cayenne can handle spirited driving while still working as a comfortable commuter, and it also notes that the model’s construction and driving character are part of its appeal. The performance notes point to an eight-speed transmission, all-wheel drive, and an agile chassis setup that helps the SUV feel composed on the road. Porsche also includes first-year maintenance coverage, which helps a bit with early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is not outright dependability so much as ownership expense, since maintenance and options can add up quickly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Porsche Cayenne?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing includes expensive options or performance equipment. Focus on overall condition, service records, and whether the vehicle’s equipment matches the asking price. Because the Cayenne can get pricey quickly, it is worth checking that the features you want are actually present before you commit.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from the base Cayenne to the Cayenne Turbo GT, and the GTS is called out for high-gloss black trim, bronze exhaust tips, a specific front fascia, tinted headlights, and 21-inch anthracite-gray wheels. The base model is described as having smaller wheels and satin black trim, so you should pay attention to whether a lower-trim example has the appearance and equipment you expect.
• Powertrain: The base 3.0-liter V6 makes 348 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque, while the Cayenne S uses a V8 with 468 hp and the GTS uses a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with 493 hp. The Turbo GT reaches 650 hp, and plug-in hybrid versions are also mentioned with as much as 729 hp.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes parking sensors, forward collision warning, and blind-spot monitoring. Adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and lane-departure warning cost extra, and Porsche does not offer a hands-off/eyes-up driving assist.
• Infotainment: The cabin includes a curved 12.6-inch digital gauge cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 10.9-inch passenger screen is optional, and the system also includes OTA-style convenience features such as voice control, Spotify, Apple Music, satellite radio, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: Porsche does not release fuel economy numbers for this model year, though the write-up notes that last year’s V8 returned 15 mpg city, 21 mpg highway, and 17 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Porsche Cayenne trim should I buy?

The 2025 Porsche Cayenne is offered in 6 trim levels: Cayenne, Cayenne S, Cayenne GTS, Cayenne Turbo GT, Cayenne Coupe, and Cayenne GTS coupe.

Here's the short version:

• Cayenne: This is the best-value starting point if you want the Cayenne’s core appeal: standard all-wheel drive, premium materials, and the agile driving character that defines the model. It is the trim to consider if you want the Porsche experience without chasing the highest price.
• Cayenne S: Step up here if you want more power from the V8 and a stronger performance edge without jumping all the way to the most expensive versions. It suits you if acceleration matters but you still want a relatively balanced luxury SUV.
• Cayenne GTS: This is the sweet spot for buyers who want the sharpest all-around driving feel, with 493 hp, a lower ride height, and chassis hardware that makes it especially engaging. It is the trim to target if you care most about performance and can live with the higher price.
• Cayenne Turbo GT: Choose this only if you want the most extreme performance in the lineup, with 650 hp and coupe-only availability. It is the top choice for maximum speed and exclusivity.
• Cayenne Coupe: Pick this if you want the sleeker body style and the available lightweight package, but note that it is more about style and performance flavor than added practicality.
• Cayenne GTS coupe: This is for you if you want the GTS performance formula in the coupe body style, along with the same aggressive character and higher price.

Advanced safety features are not standard, so make sure the specific vehicle you’re considering has the driver-assistance equipment you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Porsche Cayenne?

• Inventory: There are 1,216 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.98% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 97.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $100,154, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Porsche Cayenne's resale value?

The current average of $103,112 sits slightly above last year's $100,125.

That upward move suggests the market is still willing to pay for this model year, especially when the right trim and equipment are present. For a future seller, that is a helpful sign because it points to steady demand rather than a softening market. Even so, the Cayenne’s high option content means condition and configuration will matter a lot when it is time to resell.

Is the 2025 Porsche Cayenne safe?

The 2025 Porsche Cayenne does not have crash-test ratings from either IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes parking sensors, forward collision warning, and blind-spot monitoring. Adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and lane-departure warning are not standard, and Porsche does not offer a hands-off/eyes-up driving assist. That means you should pay close attention to the exact driver-assistance content on any used example you consider.

Should I buy a 2025 Porsche Cayenne or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 97.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.98% year-over-year.
• The 2025 model stands out for its strong performance character, premium cabin, and the expert view that even the base version delivers an agile driving experience.

The bottom line: if you want the Cayenne at its most current and are willing to pay for the right example, the 2025 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may offer a lower entry point while still giving you much of the same core Porsche character.
