Used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder for Sale nearHartford, CT

How much does the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 14.85% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,120 listings available, which gives you a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 7.5/10 expert rating, and the model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

The Pathfinder is positioned as a well-rounded three-row SUV that emphasizes value, practicality, and everyday usability. It offers excellent cargo capacity, comfortable seating, and a modern design at a competitive price, which makes it especially appealing if you want a capable family workhorse without paying a premium.

The main trade-offs are that it is not as composed on-road as competitors and its tech is unimpressive. Even so, the overall package is strong for shoppers who care more about space, comfort, and value than having the most polished driving dynamics or the flashiest cabin.

With 39.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you a decent chance to find a strong-value example.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

The Pathfinder is described as a tried-and-true SUV with a long-running 3.5-liter V6, and the expert notes say mechanics should be familiar with it and parts should be readily available. The overall verdict also calls it a solid, reliable experience across ownership, with no single area likely to let you down.

The powertrain is straightforward, and the nine-speed automatic is described as handling the engine well with decisive shifts and unobtrusive operation. Nissan Maintenance Care also adds up to three oil changes during the first two years or 24,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about a known mechanical weak point and more about choosing a well-kept example, since condition and maintenance history will matter more than novelty here.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one with towing use. Focus on tire condition, brake wear, interior wear, and evidence of regular maintenance, since those are the kinds of details that can separate a good deal from a merely cheap one.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum trims span the lineup, and the base S misses some comfort and convenience features that show up higher up. The Rock Creek adds a more adventurous look, standard AWD, and seven selectable drive modes, while the SL and Platinum bring more upscale cabin features.
• Powertrain: Every Pathfinder uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 with a nine-speed automatic. The Rock Creek gets 295 hp and 270 lb-ft on premium fuel, while the S, SV, SL, and Platinum make 284 hp and 259 lb-ft on regular fuel.
• Safety package: Every trim gets blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control and ProPilot Assist are standard on all but the base S, and traffic sign recognition is standard on the SL and Platinum.
• Infotainment: Screen size is 8 inches on the S, SV, and Rock Creek, and 9 inches on the SL and Platinum. Wireless Apple CarPlay works only on the 9-inch screen, and Android Auto is supported, but wireless projection is limited.
• Fuel efficiency: The Rock Creek returns 20 mpg city, 23 highway, and 21 combined, while other 4WD trims return 21/27/23.

Which 2025 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it is the most stripped-down version of the lineup, so it makes sense mainly if you want the lowest price and can live without some of the convenience features found higher up.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds useful equipment without pushing the price as high as the upper trims, making it the most balanced choice for everyday family use.
• Rock Creek: This is the standout if you want the most distinctive look and a more adventurous setup, with standard AWD, all-terrain tires, and seven drive modes. It is also the trim highlighted as a particularly strong value.
• SL: This is the smart step-up if you want more comfort and tech, including the larger screen and more available luxury touches, without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• Platinum: This is the most upscale Pathfinder, with the richest materials and the most standard equipment, so it suits you best if you want the most premium version of the SUV.

Traffic sign recognition is standard on the SL and Platinum trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,120 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.85% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $32,139, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $32,139 sits slightly below last year's $37,745.

That price drop suggests the Pathfinder is currently in a softer resale position than it was a year ago. If you buy now, you may benefit from that lower entry point, but a future seller could face more competition if prices stay under pressure.

The good news for resale is that the Pathfinder still has broad family-SUV appeal, especially because it combines space, comfort, and safety. The downside is that a softer market today can limit how quickly you recover value later if you sell in the near term.

Is the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder safe?

The 2025 Nissan Pathfinder received a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) as well as a five-star overall rating in crash testing performed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Digging deeper, the NHTSA awarded it four stars in overall frontal crash testing and four stars in its roll-over evaluation.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan equips every Pathfinder trim with a strong suite of driver-assistance features. Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control and ProPilot Assist are standard on all but the base S trim, and traffic sign recognition is standard on the SL and Platinum trims.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.85% compared with last year.
• The 2025 adds slight updates that make the SUV more appealing without changing its core value-focused character.

Consider the 2026 if:

• The refresh adds more convenience features, a larger touchscreen, and new styling touches.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2025 is the stronger buy because prices are softer and inventory is plentiful. If you care more about the latest cabin updates and tech improvements, it makes sense to look at the 2026 instead. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2025 is the more compelling path.
