Used 2025 Nissan Frontier for Sale nearColorado City, CO

How much does the 2025 Nissan Frontier cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 3,084 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated truck with an expert rating of 6/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

The 2025 Frontier leans into old-school truck character with body-on-frame construction, a V6 engine, traditional controls, and a sense of quality in its materials and build. It also adds more standard safety features for 2025 and most models get a new 12.3-inch touchscreen, which helps modernize the cabin without losing its straightforward feel.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology still feels outdated, the safety results are unimpressive, and the value equation is weak relative to what you pay. If you want a midsize pickup that feels durable, familiar, and truck-like, the Frontier fits that brief well.

33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Frontier’s reliability case is built around its simple, traditional hardware: a V6 engine, body-on-frame construction, and a straightforward approach to controls and infotainment. That kind of setup can be appealing if you want a truck that feels robust and less complicated than many rivals.

It also comes with a standard Nissan Maintenance Care package that covers your first three oil changes, which helps reduce early ownership hassle. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the truck’s age and old-school design may mean you should pay extra attention to wear, maintenance history, and how hard it was used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Frontier?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Even with a strong clean-inventory share, you should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a truck that may have been used for towing or off-road driving. Focus on the condition of the suspension, brakes, tires, and interior controls, and make sure the truck’s equipment matches the trim you’re paying for.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Frontier is available in S, SV, SL, PRO-X, and PRO-4X trim levels. The base S trim keeps the older 8-inch touchscreen, while most other versions get the new 12.3-inch display. The PRO-4X adds the most rugged hardware and is the off-road-ready version, while the PRO-X has a similar look but rear-wheel drive instead of four-wheel drive.
• Powertrain: Every Frontier uses a 3.8-liter V6 with 310 horsepower and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The engine is a strength for buyers who want traditional truck power, but fuel economy is only average and the truck can feel thirsty in everyday use.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control is also standard, while the surround-view camera with off-road mode is standard on the SL and optional on some other trims.
• Infotainment: Nearly every version gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen with NissanConnect, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, SiriusXM, NissanConnect services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot with an active data plan. The base S trim continues with an 8-inch screen.
• Fuel efficiency: The Frontier PRO-4X is expected to achieve 18 mpg in combined driving, and the test truck averaged 18.8 mpg on an evaluation loop. The truck also returned 15.7 mpg in heavy city traffic, just shy of its 16-mpg city rating.

Which 2025 Nissan Frontier trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Frontier is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SL, PRO-X, PRO-4X.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it keeps the older 8-inch touchscreen while most other trims move to the new 12.3-inch system. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and can live with the most basic tech.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it gets you into the updated cabin and broader equipment mix without jumping into the pricier specialty models.
• SL: This is the more comfort- and convenience-focused choice, and it also gets the standard surround-view camera with off-road mode and traffic sign recognition.
• PRO-X: Choose this if you want the PRO-4X look but prefer rear-wheel drive instead of four-wheel drive.
• PRO-4X: This is the one to buy if you want the most off-road capability, with Bilstein shocks, an electronic locking rear differential, skid plates, and all-terrain tires.

The safety package is strongest on higher trims that add the surround-view camera system, while the core Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite is standard across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Frontier?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop, but the best listings still deserve quick attention.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,084 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,376, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Frontier's resale value?

The current average of $34,668 sits slightly below last year's $34,937.

That mild decline suggests the Frontier’s resale market is holding reasonably steady rather than swinging sharply. If you buy at the right price and keep the truck in good condition, you’re less likely to face a steep value drop in the near term.

The model’s stable pricing also points to predictable demand, which can help when it’s time to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier safe?

The 2025 Frontier earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in side-impact crash tests, but three-star driver protection and rollover resistance ratings are causes for concern.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control is also standard, and the surround-view camera with off-road mode is standard on the SL and optional on some other trims.

The main caveat is that the Frontier’s safety results are mixed, especially the lower NHTSA sub-ratings and the poor halogen headlight result noted by IIHS. That means you should pay close attention to trim level and equipment if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Frontier or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds more standard safety features and a new 12.3-inch touchscreen on most models.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds extra standard equipment on some models and new option packages.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of price stability, inventory depth, and updated equipment, the 2025 is the better starting point. If you’re shopping mainly on price, the 2025 also gives you a broader chance to find a good deal without giving up the Frontier’s core strengths.
