Used 2025 Nissan Frontier for Sale nearCentral Point, OR

How much does the 2025 Nissan Frontier cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 2,954 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated truck with an expert rating of 6.00/10. The 2025 Frontier’s appeal comes from its traditional truck setup, V6 power, body-on-frame construction, comfortable front seats, quality construction, and conventional controls. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology feels outdated, the safety ratings are unimpressive, and the value proposition is weak relative to the price. It fits you best if you want a midsize pickup with old-school character and a more conventional driving experience rather than the latest tech-heavy approach.

Good and great deals make up 30.3% of listings, so there are still some worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The Frontier’s appeal is rooted in its V6 engine, body-on-frame construction, and a simple, traditional setup that favors durability-minded buyers. It also feels solidly built, with quality materials and a robust cabin that supports its back-to-basics character.

The performance notes reinforce that impression: the truck feels robust and durable, and it remains smooth and quiet on local freeways. Nissan also includes a standard maintenance package that covers your first three oil changes, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that its aging tech and safety profile may matter more as you keep the truck longer.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Frontier?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report, verify service records, and prioritize a thorough inspection of the truck’s condition, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one that’s been used for towing or off-road driving. Focus on how the cabin, controls, and exterior trim have held up, since the Frontier’s value depends heavily on condition and equipment level.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Frontier is available in S, SV, SL, PRO-X, and PRO-4X trim levels. The base S trim keeps the smaller 8-inch touchscreen, while higher trims get the larger 12.3-inch display and more upscale equipment. The PRO-4X adds the most rugged hardware and off-road-focused equipment, while the PRO-X mirrors its look with rear-wheel drive instead of four-wheel drive.
• Powertrain: Every Frontier uses a 3.8-liter V6 with 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It is not especially fuel-efficient, but it delivers the traditional truck character and strong towing capability many shoppers want.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control is also standard, while the surround-view camera with off-road mode is standard on SL and optional on some other trims.
• Infotainment: Most versions get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with NissanConnect, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, NissanConnect services, and a Wi-Fi hotspot with an active data plan. The base S trim continues with an 8-inch touchscreen.
• Fuel efficiency: The Frontier PRO-4X is expected to achieve 18 mpg in combined driving, and the test truck averaged 18.8 mpg on an evaluation loop. In heavy city traffic, it returned 15.7 mpg, just shy of its 16-mpg city rating.

Which 2025 Nissan Frontier trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Frontier is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SL, PRO-X, and PRO-4X.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the Frontier’s core V6 truck experience at the lowest price. It keeps the smaller 8-inch touchscreen, so you give up some of the newer infotainment polish found on higher trims.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more everyday usability without pushing you into the pricier upper end of the lineup. It’s the trim to target if you want a balanced mix of equipment and price.
• SL: This is the more comfort- and convenience-focused choice, and it’s the trim to consider if you want the more upscale side of the Frontier lineup. It also gets the surround-view camera with off-road mode as standard.
• PRO-X: This trim gives you the PRO-4X look with rear-wheel drive instead of four-wheel drive, so it suits you if you want the styling without the full off-road hardware.
• PRO-4X: This is the off-road-focused trim, with Bilstein shocks, an electronic locking rear differential, skid plates, and all-terrain tires. Choose it if you want the most rugged Frontier setup and can live with the firmer, more truck-like ride.

All Frontiers come with Nissan Safety Shield 360, and adaptive cruise control is standard across the lineup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Frontier?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it’s a reasonable time to shop if you’re patient and comparison-shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,954 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,383, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Frontier's resale value?

The current average of $35,136 sits slightly below last year's $35,303.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which is helpful if you’re planning to resell later. You’re not looking at a truck that’s falling sharply in value, but you also shouldn’t expect a big appreciation story. The Frontier’s resale outlook is more about steady demand than dramatic price movement.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier safe?

The 2025 Frontier earns four-star ratings overall from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in side-impact crash tests, but three-star driver protection and rollover resistance ratings are causes for concern.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control is also standard, and a surround-view camera with off-road mode is standard on SL and optional on some other trims.

The main caveat is that the Frontier’s safety performance is mixed: IIHS testing published so far includes a Poor result for standard halogen headlights, while higher-trim headlights were rated Acceptable. The truck also lacks Nissan’s more advanced ProPilot Assist system.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Frontier or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 adds more standard safety features and a new 12.3-inch touchscreen on most models.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds extra standard equipment and new option packages.

The bottom line: If you want the better-known quantity with stable pricing and a broad used-car supply, the 2025 is the safer path. If you’re willing to wait for a newer model with a few more equipment updates, the 2026 is worth a look. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2025 remains the more practical target because it already brings the key updates without requiring you to pay for the newest model year.
