Used 2025 Nissan Frontier for Sale nearAmarillo, TX

How much does the 2025 Nissan Frontier cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 3,098 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Nissan Frontier earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

It stands out as a midsize pickup with old-school appeal, using a V6 engine and body-on-frame construction for a traditional truck character. It also brings competitive towing and payload ratings, comfortable front seats, quality construction, and traditional controls.

The trade-offs are clear: the technology feels outdated, the safety ratings are unimpressive, and the value proposition is weak for the money. Even so, if you want a straightforward, durable-feeling pickup with a more traditional driving experience, the Frontier fits that use case well.

Good and great deals account for 38.1% of listings, so there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Frontier’s appeal comes from its simple, traditional hardware: a V6 engine, body-on-frame construction, and a straightforward control layout. That kind of setup can be reassuring if you want a truck that feels mechanically familiar rather than overly complex.

Its performance content also points to a durable, work-ready character, with a robust feel and smooth, quiet freeway behavior. On the ownership side, Nissan includes complimentary oil changes and trial subscriptions to NissanConnect services, which can soften early running costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the truck’s value equation is only average, so you’ll want to be sure the condition and price line up with the mileage and equipment.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Frontier?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage truck or one that’s been used for towing. Focus on overall condition, cabin wear, and signs of hard use, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been maintained.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S trim keeps the base 8-inch touchscreen, while most other versions get a 12.3-inch display; higher trims also add more visual polish and equipment, so the base truck is the one most likely to feel stripped down.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.8-liter V6 with 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission; it’s satisfying and traditional, but not especially fuel-efficient.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control is also standard, while a surround-view camera with off-road mode is standard on SL and optional on some other trims.
• Infotainment: Nearly every version gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, NissanConnect services, and Wi-Fi hotspot capability with an active data plan. The base S trim continues with an 8-inch screen.
• Fuel efficiency: The Frontier PRO-4X is expected to achieve 18 mpg in combined driving, and the test truck averaged 18.8 mpg on a mixed route.

Which 2025 Nissan Frontier trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Frontier is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SL, PRO-X, PRO-4X.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it’s the trim most likely to feel basic because it keeps the 8-inch touchscreen while most other versions move to the larger 12.3-inch display. Buy this one if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the nicer tech and appearance upgrades.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more of the Frontier’s useful everyday appeal without pushing you into the pricier upper trims. It’s the sensible middle ground if you want the truck’s core strengths without overpaying.
• SL: This trim is the one to target if you want more comfort and convenience, including the surround-view camera system with off-road mode and traffic sign recognition. It suits you best if you want a more upscale Frontier with extra standard equipment.
• PRO-X: This version gives you the PRO-4X look but with rear-wheel drive instead of four-wheel drive, so it’s the right pick if you want the styling without the off-road hardware.
• PRO-4X: This is the off-road-focused trim, with Bilstein shocks, an electronic locking rear differential, skid plates, and all-terrain tires. It’s the one to buy if you want the most rugged Frontier character and don’t mind the firmer ride.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but the surround-view camera with off-road mode is standard only on SL and optional on some other trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Frontier?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully and wait for the right listing.

• Deal availability: 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,098 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 93.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $34,378, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Frontier's resale value?

The current average of $34,706 sits slightly below last year's $34,953.

That small decline suggests the market is stable rather than volatile, which can help future sellers because pricing is easier to forecast. It also means you’re not looking at a model year that has suddenly fallen out of favor.

Because the Frontier’s average price has held close to last year’s level, you can expect resale to depend more on condition, mileage, and trim than on broad market swings. Well-kept trucks with desirable equipment should remain easier to move.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Frontier safe?

The 2025 Nissan Frontier earns a four-star overall safety rating from NHTSA, with five-star side-impact ratings, three-star driver protection, and three-star rollover resistance. It also received a Poor rating for standard halogen headlights from IIHS, while updated moderate overlap front crash testing was rated Good and updated side-impact testing was rated Acceptable.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and rear automatic braking. Adaptive cruise control is also standard, while a surround-view camera with off-road mode is standard on SL and optional on some other trims.

The main caveat is that the truck’s safety performance is mixed, especially given the lower NHTSA driver-protection and rollover results and the poor headlight rating. If safety is a top priority, you should pay close attention to trim and equipment.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Frontier or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 model adds more standard safety features and a new 12.3-inch touchscreen on most trims.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds extra standard equipment and new option packages.

The bottom line: Choose the 2025 if you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, pricing stability, and updated standard equipment. If you’re mainly shopping on price, a nearby year could still make sense, but the 2025 is the better all-around target when you want the latest improvements without waiting for a redesign.
