Used 2025 Nissan Altima for Sale nearLongmont, CO

How much does the 2025 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 10.53% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 8,774 listings available, which gives you a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated car with an expert rating of 5.83/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

The Altima’s appeal is strongest if you want a traditional midsize sedan with a stylish design, a comfortable cabin, and available all-wheel drive. It also has easy-to-use technology in the right trims, and the overall package is aimed at shoppers who still want a familiar, practical family car rather than a crossover.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, the interior materials feel cheap, and some of the technology feels outdated. That makes the Altima easy to live with, but less compelling if you want a more polished or modern-feeling daily driver.

With 37.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Altima is built around straightforward, familiar hardware, and the expert evaluation describes it as a car that goes about its business without fanfare. It’s also quieter than expected, the CVT rarely irritates, and the brakes feel good underfoot. Nissan also adds three complimentary oil changes, which helps the ownership experience a bit.

That said, the model’s long-term appeal depends on how well you tolerate its modest performance and aging-feeling cabin materials, since those are the kinds of traits that can wear on you over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Altima?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the brakes, infotainment operation, and the condition of the cabin materials, since those are the kinds of areas where wear and disappointment can show up quickly. If you’re shopping an SR or SL, make sure the equipment matches the trim and package claims in the listing.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes S, SV, SV Special Edition, SR, and SL trim levels. The SV Special Edition adds black wheels, a rear spoiler, and comfort and technology upgrades, while the SR adds 19-inch wheels, sport suspension, brake-induced torque vectoring, and sport-bolstered front seats. The base setup is the most stripped-down, so you’ll want to compare equipment carefully if you care about convenience and tech.
• Powertrain: Every Altima uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a CVT. Front-wheel-drive models make 188 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque, while AWD models drop to 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. The AWD system is available if you want extra traction, but it costs more up front and trims fuel economy.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic rear braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The SL trim adds ProPilot Assist 1.0, a surround-view camera system, and an active blind-spot monitoring system that can attempt to steer you out of harm’s way.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a six-speaker stereo. SV Special Edition and SL models get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, NissanConnect services, navigation, and a conversational voice assistant.
• Fuel efficiency: AWD models should get 28 mpg in combined driving, while non-AWD models should get 31-32 mpg. The expert evaluation also notes that the AWD system costs more up front and costs you money over time.

Which 2025 Nissan Altima trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Altima is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SV Special Edition, SR, and SL.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the simplest way into the Altima lineup, but it’s also the least equipped. Choose it only if your priority is keeping the purchase as basic and affordable as possible.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more everyday appeal without pushing you into the pricier upper end of the lineup.
• SV Special Edition: This is the trim to target if you want the strongest mix of style, comfort, and technology upgrades. It’s the one the expert evaluation points to as the Altima to get in 2025.
• SR: Pick this if you want the sportier look and feel, including the firmer suspension and 19-inch wheels. It’s more about character than outright speed.
• SL: This is the trim to buy if you want the most advanced tech and safety features, including ProPilot Assist 1.0 and the surround-view camera system.

Safety-package note: the SL trim level is your ticket to the best safety features available for the Altima.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Altima?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 8,774 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.53% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,661, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $20,927 sits slightly below last year's $23,390.

That decline suggests the Altima is under some pricing pressure, which can be a warning sign for future resale strength. If you buy now, you should expect depreciation to remain a meaningful factor, especially if the market continues to favor crossovers and more modern sedans.

On the other hand, the lower entry price can help you limit your upfront cost, which matters if you plan to keep the car for several years. A well-kept example with desirable equipment should still be easier to move than a stripped or heavily worn one.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima safe?

The Altima earns five-star ratings from NHTSA, including a rare five-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on every Altima, and it includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic rear braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The SL trim adds ProPilot Assist 1.0, which combines adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and lane-centering assist, plus a surround-view camera system and active blind-spot monitoring.

The caution flag is the IIHS result: the Altima gets a Poor rating in updated side-impact and front crash prevention evaluations, and a Marginal result in an updated moderate offset frontal-impact test. That means you should pay close attention to crash history and condition if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Nissan adds the SV Special Edition Package this year to help freshen the lineup.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $19,894, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $20,927 average.
• It leans on value and familiarity with an attractive starting price and standard safety tech.

The 2025 makes sense if you want the freshest used example and are drawn to the added SV Special Edition content. If you’re mainly shopping on price, the 2024 is the smarter path because it undercuts the current year while still delivering the core Altima formula.
