Used 2025 Nissan Altima for Sale nearAmarillo, TX

How much does the 2025 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 11.09% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 8,732 listings available, which gives you a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Nissan Altima earns a 5/5 user rating and a 5.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

The Altima’s appeal comes from its stylish design, comfortable cabin, available all-wheel drive, and easy-to-use technology. It works best if you want a traditional midsize sedan that is straightforward and pleasant in daily use.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is fairly pedestrian, the interior materials feel cheap, and some of the technology feels outdated. Even so, the lineup’s value-focused updates help it stay relevant for shoppers who still want a sedan instead of a crossover.

Good and great deals account for 37.6% of listings, which suggests you have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Altima’s reliability story leans on its familiar mechanical setup, practical everyday behavior, and the fact that it is built around a straightforward midsize-sedan formula. Its driving character is calm and unremarkable rather than complicated, which can be a plus if you want something easy to live with.

Nissan also adds three complimentary oil changes, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the car’s aging design and mixed value equation may make upkeep and resale less rewarding than in stronger rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Nissan Altima?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one with added equipment. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the car’s features work as expected, since the Altima’s value depends heavily on getting the right trim and equipment mix.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes S, SV, SV Special Edition, SR, and SL trim levels. The SV Special Edition adds black wheels, a rear spoiler, and comfort and technology upgrades, while the SR adds 19-inch wheels, sport suspension, brake-induced torque vectoring, and sport-bolstered front seats. The SL is the most feature-rich choice, and the base trim misses several worthwhile upgrades.
• Powertrain: Every Altima uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a CVT. Front-wheel-drive models make 188 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque, while AWD models drop to 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque. The AWD system is available if you want extra traction, but it costs more and slightly reduces output.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic rear braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The SL adds ProPilot Assist 1.0, a surround-view camera system, and active blind-spot monitoring.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a six-speaker stereo. SV Special Edition and SL models get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, NissanConnect services, a navigation system, and a conversational voice assistant.
• Fuel efficiency: AWD models should get 28 mpg in combined driving, while front-wheel-drive versions should get 31-32 mpg. The AWD system also adds cost up front and over time.

Which 2025 Nissan Altima trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Altima is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SV Special Edition, SR, and SL.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it is the least compelling choice if you want the Altima to feel modern or well equipped.
• SV: This is the trim that gives you the broadest everyday appeal, and it is the best-value starting point for most shoppers.
• SV Special Edition: This is the trim to target if you want the best balance of value, added style, and upgraded comfort and technology.
• SR: This is the sportier-looking choice, with 19-inch wheels, sport suspension, brake-induced torque vectoring, and sport-bolstered front seats.
• SL: This is the most upscale and best-equipped Altima, with the strongest safety and tech content.

The SL trim level is also your ticket to the best safety features available, including ProPilot Assist 1.0, a surround-view camera system, and active blind-spot monitoring.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Nissan Altima?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 8,732 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.09% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,657, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $20,799 sits slightly below last year's $23,392.

That decline suggests the Altima is in a softer resale position than it was a year ago, which can work against you if you buy at the wrong price. For future sellers, that means condition, trim choice, and mileage will matter even more when it is time to trade or sell.

The current market also shows that buyers have plenty of alternatives, so a clean, well-equipped Altima will likely hold up better than a bare-bones example. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Nissan Altima safe?

The 2025 Nissan Altima earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, including a rare five-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard on every Altima and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, automatic rear braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. The SL trim adds ProPilot Assist 1.0, a surround-view camera system, and active blind-spot monitoring.

The main caution is the Altima’s weaker IIHS performance, including a Poor result in updated side impact and front crash prevention evaluations and a Marginal result in an updated moderate offset frontal test.

Should I buy a 2025 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Nissan adds a value-packed 2025 Altima SV Special Edition Package to the lineup.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $19,793, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $20,799 average.
• It leans on value and familiarity rather than reinvention.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model year with the latest value-focused packaging and a softer market, the 2025 makes sense. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2024 is the better price-sensitive path.
