How much does the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 10.07% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,885 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable selection to compare.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE is a solid choice if you want a midsize luxury SUV with multiple body styles, multiple powertrain options, and a stylish interior, though its size and packaging quirks may not suit everyone. It earns a 3/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The GLE’s appeal is strongest if you want a family-friendly luxury SUV that can be configured in several directions, from efficient to high-performance. Its cabin presentation is a major part of the draw, but the overall package is still shaped by some compromises.

Trade-offs include ungainly styling, a driving feel that’s bigger than it looks, and poor outward visibility. Those drawbacks matter most if you prioritize easy maneuvering and a clean sightline over presence and versatility.

Good and great deals account for 36.3% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE is positioned as a mainstream Mercedes luxury SUV, and its expert evaluation emphasizes broad capability, refinement, and a strong feature set. The powertrain lineup is wide, and the GLE 350’s mild-hybrid setup is described as helping power accessories and improving start/stop behavior.

Mercedes also includes a four-year/50,000-mile new-vehicle warranty, which helps support ownership confidence. For buyers focused on long-term use, the main risk is that a used GLE can become expensive to own if prior maintenance or option-package upkeep has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on higher-spec or heavily optioned examples. Focus on condition, feature operation, and evidence of careful ownership, since luxury SUVs can hide expensive wear behind a polished presentation.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GLE’s appeal changes a lot by configuration, with multiple body styles and a cabin that can be dressed up substantially. Base versions are the most straightforward way into the lineup, while higher trims and coupe models add more presence and equipment.
• Powertrain: The lineup spans a turbocharged four-cylinder mild-hybrid setup, a turbocharged inline-six mild-hybrid, a plug-in hybrid, a twin-turbo V8, and AMG performance variants. The GLE 350 is the efficiency-minded starting point, while the upper trims trade economy for stronger acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with exit assist, crosswind assist, parking assist, a driver attention monitor, a 360-degree camera system, and Pre-Safe. Adaptive cruise control and several advanced functions are part of the optional Driver Assistance Package.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses twin 12.3-inch screens, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and built-in navigation. Mercedes also gives you multiple ways to control the system, including touchpads, buttons, and voice recognition.
• Fuel efficiency: The GLE 450e is rated at 23 mpg combined and offers up to 50 miles of electric range, while the GLE 350 is rated at 23 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive and 22 mpg combined with AWD.

Which 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 6 trim levels: GLE 350, GLE 450 4Matic, GLE 450e 4Matic, GLE 580 4Matic, AMG GLE 53 4Matic+, and AMG GLE 63 S 4Matic+.

Here's the short version:

• GLE 350: This is the entry point and the best-value choice if you want the GLE’s core luxury-SUV experience without jumping deep into the price ladder. It uses the turbo-four mild-hybrid setup and is the most efficiency-focused gas model in the lineup.
• GLE 450 4Matic: This is the sweet spot for many shoppers because it adds the smoother and stronger inline-six while keeping the GLE’s upscale character intact. If you want the best balance of performance and everyday usability, start here.
• GLE 450e 4Matic: Choose this if you want plug-in hybrid capability and the strongest efficiency story in the lineup. It’s the right fit if you can take advantage of electric driving for short trips.
• GLE 580 4Matic: This trim is for you if you want V8 power and a more muscular personality. It sits well above the mainstream choices and is aimed at buyers who care more about performance and prestige than value.
• AMG GLE 53 4Matic+: This is the performance-oriented choice if you want quicker acceleration and a more aggressive driving character without going all the way to the top AMG model.
• AMG GLE 63 S 4Matic+: This is the top performance pick, with the most power and the most dramatic personality. It makes sense if you want the most extreme version of the GLE and are comfortable paying for it.

Adaptive cruise control remains part of the optional Driver Assistance Package, so check whether a used example has that box ticked.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,885 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.07% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $61,669, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $61,684 sits slightly below last year's $68,594.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to resell later, the current softness may limit near-term appreciation, especially if you buy near the top of the range.

For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition. A clean, well-optioned GLE should still hold appeal because it offers multiple body styles, strong brand cachet, and broad powertrain choice.

Is the 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE safe?

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a Top Safety Pick+ from the IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with exit assist, crosswind assist, parking assist, a driver attention monitor, a 360-degree camera system, and Pre-Safe. The optional Driver Assistance Package adds adaptive cruise control, automatic speed-limit and curve adaptation, stop-and-go functionality, lane-change assist, evasive steering assist, a cross-traffic function for automatic emergency braking, and an expanded driver-monitoring system that can bring the vehicle to a stop if the driver is unresponsive.

The main caveat is that some advanced driver-assistance features are not standard, so you’ll want to verify package content on any used example you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.07% compared with last year.
• It adds new configurations and fresh paint choices while keeping the GLE’s broad luxury-SUV appeal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $56,314, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $61,684 average.
• It brings a facelift with an upgraded interior and infotainment system.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $69,259, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $61,684 average.
• It adds a standard AMG Line exterior on the GLE 450 and a new Manufaktur Edition.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest mix of configurations and current-market pricing, the 2025 is the better default choice. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2024 is the smarter value play, while the 2026 makes sense only if you specifically want its newer appearance and edition content.
