Used 2025 Mazda CX-50 for Sale nearSaint Augustine, FL

How much does the 2025 Mazda CX-50 cost?

Prices have softened 9.72% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,648 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-50 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Mazda CX-50 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

It stands out as a compact SUV that blends style, driving enjoyment, and efficiency, with a near-luxury interior and attractive styling. The hybrid powertrain adds fuel efficiency to the mix, while the sporty character helps it feel more upscale than many rivals.

The trade-offs are clear: limited passenger and cargo space can make it less practical, and the technology is described as outdated. If you want a compact SUV that prioritizes design and driving feel over maximum utility, this one fits that brief well.

45.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-50 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CX-50 is presented as a well-rounded compact SUV with a refined feel, and the hybrid powertrain is described as a smart move because it adds efficiency without giving up the model’s sporty character. The expert write-up also notes that the hybrid system is the same basic setup used in the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, which supports confidence in the powertrain’s underlying design.

The cost-effectiveness section says the hybrid should save fuel versus the standard engine and can make back its price premium in about four years. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the CX-50’s limited space and dated tech may feel more frustrating as your needs grow.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mazda CX-50?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re shopping outside the cleanest listings. Focus on cabin condition, rear-seat wear, cargo-area use, and whether the technology and driver-assistance features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Preferred trim gets the hybrid’s core appeal, but the Premium trim adds a wireless charging pad and a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system. If you want the most upscale feel, the higher trims are the ones to compare closely.
• Powertrain: The hybrid uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with three electric motors, 219 horsepower, 163 lb-ft of torque, and all-wheel drive. It is tuned for efficiency and smooth response rather than serious off-road use.
• Safety package: All models include frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Secondary features include a rear passenger reminder, driver attention monitor, and safe exit alerts.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.25-inch horizontal infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and touchscreen functionality only when using those phone integrations. A wireless charging pad is not standard on base trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid is estimated at 38 mpg combined, compared with 28 mpg for the standard engine.

Which 2025 Mazda CX-50 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mazda CX-50 is offered in 2 trim levels: Preferred and Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the best-value choice if you want the hybrid’s efficiency and core equipment without stretching for extras. It gives you the model’s main strengths — stylish design, engaging driving feel, and standard all-wheel drive — while keeping the price lower than the top trim.
• Premium Plus: Choose this if you want the most upscale version of the CX-50 Hybrid. It sits at the top of the range and is the trim to target if you want the fullest feature set.

All CX-50 models come with the same core driver-assistance suite, so safety equipment is not the main reason to move up the trim ladder.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Mazda CX-50?

It looks like a buyer-friendly moment, with strong deal availability and a healthy supply of accident-free listings.

• Deal availability: 45.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,648 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.72% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,845, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Mazda CX-50's resale value?

The current average of $28,845 sits slightly below last year's $31,950.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and trim choice than on broad market momentum.

The hybrid’s efficiency and the model’s strong style appeal should help it stay attractive to used shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-50 safe?

The 2025 Mazda CX-50 Hybrid earns five-star ratings in all NHTSA tests except rollover protection, where it earns a four-star rating.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

All models come with frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Secondary features include a rear passenger reminder, driver attention monitor, and safe exit alerts.

The safety write-up also notes that the systems worked as designed with no false alarms during testing. One caveat is that the IIHS results cited are for the non-hybrid 2024 model, not this year’s hybrid.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda CX-50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 45.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The hybrid powertrain adds fuel efficiency to an already sporty SUV.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,696, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $28,845 average.
• It emphasizes rugged styling and standard all-wheel drive.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds gas, turbocharged gas, or hybrid powertrains with standard all-wheel drive.
• It keeps the CX-50’s style-first, fun-to-drive character while seeing only minor changes.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of efficiency, style, and current-market availability, the 2025 is the strongest all-around pick. If your priority is spending less, the 2024 is the better value path; if you want to stay newer and are open to a broader powertrain lineup, the 2026 is worth a look.
