Used 2025 Mazda CX-50 for Sale nearKennewick, WA

How much does the 2025 Mazda CX-50 cost?

Prices have softened 10.46% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,906 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-50 a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Mazda CX-50 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

It stands out as a compact SUV that blends style, driving enjoyment, and efficiency, with attractive styling and a near-luxury interior that help it feel more upscale than many rivals. The trade-offs are limited passenger and cargo space, especially in the rear seat and cargo area, plus technology that is described as outdated.

For you, that means the CX-50 makes the most sense if you value design and driving feel more than maximum practicality. Good and great deals account for 42.1% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2025 Mazda CX-50 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CX-50’s reliability case is helped by its straightforward role in Mazda’s lineup and by the fact that the hybrid powertrain is based on a proven system. Its performance notes also point to a powertrain that responds quickly and is designed to feel like a conventional automatic, which can make day-to-day ownership feel familiar and predictable.

The hybrid’s cost-effectiveness notes also point to meaningful fuel savings over time, which can reduce ownership strain if you drive a lot. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the CX-50’s limited space and older-feeling tech may matter more as your needs change than any mechanical concern.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Mazda CX-50?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re shopping outside the cleanest listings. Focus your inspection on interior condition, cargo-area wear, and whether the technology and driver-assistance features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin uses a traditional layout with classier materials than rivals, and red leather upholstery is exclusive to the hybrid model. The base trim comes with a basic eight-speaker audio system, so you may want to step up if you care about richer sound or a more upscale feel.
• Powertrain: The hybrid uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with three electric motors, 219 horsepower, 163 lb-ft of torque, and AWD. It’s tuned for quick response and balanced handling rather than serious off-road use.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. It also adds a rear passenger reminder, driver attention monitor, and safe exit alerts.
• Infotainment: The infotainment screen is 10.25 inches, and all models come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless charging requires at least the Premium trim, and the system uses a center-console dial controller rather than a typical touchscreen-first setup.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid is estimated at 38 mpg combined, while the standard engine returns 28 mpg combined.

Which 2025 Mazda CX-50 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mazda CX-50 is offered in 2 trim levels: Preferred and Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• Preferred: This is the entry point, and it gives you the CX-50’s core appeal: stylish design, a fun driving character, and the hybrid’s fuel-efficient powertrain. It’s the trim to start with if you want the CX-50 experience without paying for extras you may not need.
• Premium Plus: This is the better pick if you want the most upscale version of the CX-50, especially because the Premium trim is where the wireless charging pad and 12-speaker Bose audio system become available or standard in the lineup. It suits you best if cabin tech and premium feel matter more than keeping the price down.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, so you don’t need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

What is the 2025 Mazda CX-50's resale value?

The current average of $28,263 sits slightly below last year's $31,565.

That decline suggests the CX-50 is currently in a softer pricing phase, which can help you buy at a better entry point. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and trim than on broad market momentum alone.

The good news is that the model’s strong styling and driving appeal can help support demand when you eventually sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. It also includes a rear passenger reminder, driver attention monitor, and safe exit alerts.

Should I buy a 2025 Mazda CX-50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 42.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.46% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The new hybrid powertrain adds fuel efficiency to the CX-50’s sporty character.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $27,457, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $28,263 average.
• It emphasizes ruggedness and standard all-wheel drive.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds gas, turbocharged gas, or hybrid powertrains with standard all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2025 if you want the newer hybrid setup and a market that currently favors buyers. If price is your top priority, the 2024 is the better value play, while the 2026 makes sense if you want the broader powertrain lineup.
