Used 2025 MINI Cooper for Sale nearSalt Lake City, UT

How much does the 2025 MINI Cooper cost?

Prices have softened 5.66% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,261 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 MINI Cooper a good car?

Yes — the 2025 MINI Cooper earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Form and function.

The 2025 MINI Cooper is redesigned for this year, and it keeps the brand’s small-car personality while adding more space inside and out. It is still light, at less than 3,000 pounds, which helps preserve the playful driving character you expect from a MINI. The cabin also gets quirky design touches and new infotainment tech.

The trade-offs are real, though. The infotainment is a weak point, and you do not get independent gear shifting without paying extra. The base price is also high for the class.

For shoppers who want a stylish hatchback with entertaining performance and everyday usefulness, it fits that brief well. The market shows 38.1% good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive listings to pursue.

Is the 2025 MINI Cooper reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 MINI Cooper is built around a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and the powertrain is described as lively and smooth in normal use. The car’s light curb weight also helps it feel responsive without needing a lot of engine output to move briskly.

On the ownership side, the model’s solid fuel economy and straightforward mechanical layout should help keep day-to-day use manageable. Mini also says the brand continues to offer lots of customization, which can make it easier to tailor the car to your needs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a feature-rich small car can become more frustrating if software or equipment issues show up, so a careful test drive and full service history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 MINI Cooper?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially because this model leans heavily on electronics and driver-assistance tech. Focus on how the infotainment behaves, whether the controls respond cleanly, and whether the car feels sorted in everyday use. If you are shopping a higher-trim or optioned example, make sure the added equipment works as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base model emphasizes style and everyday usability, while the Cooper S adds the stronger turbocharged setup and more engaging performance. The base car’s feature set is still fairly rich, but the more powerful version is the one that best matches the MINI’s fun-to-drive personality.
• Powertrain: The base engine makes 161 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, while the Cooper S produces 201 hp and 221 lb-ft. Both use front-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and the lighter body helps the car feel quick even when output is modest.
• Safety package: Safe Exit function, pedestrian detection, and forward-collision warning are standard. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane-keep assist are available in the Active Driving Assistant package for an additional $600.
• Infotainment: The cabin centers on a 9.4-inch touchscreen with Mini Operating System 9. Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and dual-zone climate control are standard, and there are several USB-C outlets throughout the cabin.
• Fuel efficiency: The model is EPA-rated at 28 mpg city, 39 mpg highway, and 32 mpg combined.

Which 2025 MINI Cooper trim should I buy?

The 2025 MINI Cooper is offered in 4 trim levels: Signature three-door, Cooper S three-door, Cooper four-door, and Cooper S four-door.

Here's the short version:

• Signature three-door: This is the entry point, and it makes the most sense if you want the lowest starting price and the classic MINI formula in its simplest form. It gives you the core design and driving character without pushing the budget too far.
• Cooper S three-door: This is the best-value choice if you care most about the MINI’s personality behind the wheel. The stronger engine and more energetic performance make it the trim that best matches the car’s playful mission.
• Cooper four-door: Choose this if you want easier rear-seat access and a little more everyday flexibility. It keeps the standard powertrain and adds practicality without changing the car’s basic character.
• Cooper S four-door: This is the pick if you want the stronger engine and the added convenience of the four-door body style. It is the most complete blend of performance and usability in the lineup.

Safe Exit function, pedestrian detection, and forward-collision warning are standard, while adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane-keep assist remain part of the available Active Driving Assistant package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 MINI Cooper?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,261 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.66% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 95.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,902, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 MINI Cooper's resale value?

The current average of $30,902 sits slightly below last year's $32,757.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is equipped.

Because the model still has strong personality and broad appeal among shoppers who want something distinctive, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than neglected ones. A clean history and desirable equipment will matter more if you want to protect value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 MINI Cooper safe?

The 2025 MINI Cooper has not been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The 2025 MINI Cooper comes standard with Safe Exit function, pedestrian detection, and forward-collision warning. Adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality and lane-keep assist are available as part of the Active Driving Assistant package for an additional $600.

A key caveat is that the model has an issued recall for its integrated braking system, so you should confirm that any used example has had the remedy completed before you buy.

Should I buy a 2025 MINI Cooper or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.6% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 model is redesigned with a larger cabin, new infotainment tech, and a lighter-than-3,000-pound footprint that helps preserve its playful driving feel.

The bottom line: If you want the newest MINI Cooper with the updated design, added space, and current tech, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is spending less, a nearby older model year may be the better value, but you will be giving up the redesign and some of the latest cabin updates.
