Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover earns an expert rating of 7.7/10.

The model scores 10/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

It stands out for pairing regal luxury with genuine go-anywhere capability, and it remains distinctive because it blends refinement, style, and standard all-wheel drive into a single package. It also offers multiple powertrain options, which broadens your choices if you want more than one way to configure a luxury SUV.

The trade-offs are clear: its user interface remains a weak point, and it is called out for poor value for money. Even so, the Range Rover’s combination of luxury, capability, and presence gives it a rare appeal for buyers who want something that feels special rather than merely practical.

36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover is presented as a refined, capable luxury SUV with standard all-wheel drive and a broad powertrain lineup, but it also carries the usual complexity that comes with a high-end vehicle. Its performance content emphasizes comfort, strong ride quality, and capable off-road hardware, while the overview highlights its blend of refinement and utility.

The performance setup includes an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, along with a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, a plug-in hybrid version of that engine, and a BMW-sourced twin-turbocharged V8. The cost-effectiveness content also notes a four-year/50,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty and four-year/50,000-mile roadside assistance coverage.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this is still a highly complex luxury SUV, so you should expect maintenance and repair exposure to be more of a concern than in simpler mainstream vehicles.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Land Rover Range Rover?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the specific vehicle you’re considering has a clean service record. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a luxury SUV like this, and you should pay close attention to electronics, ride quality, and any signs that the vehicle has been used hard or poorly maintained.

Key things to evaluate:

• Powertrain: The entry-level option is a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with a mild hybrid system rated at 395 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. A plug-in hybrid version of that engine is also available, and a BMW-sourced twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 is offered in higher trims.

Which 2025 Land Rover Range Rover trim should I buy?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover is offered in 3 trim levels: SE, Autobiography, and SV.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core Range Rover experience, including standard all-wheel drive, the 13.1-inch touchscreen, the 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster, and the standard driver-assistance suite. It makes the most sense if you want the Range Rover name and capability without stretching too far up the price ladder.
• Autobiography: This is the best-value trim if you want a richer experience without jumping all the way to the top. It adds the more upscale positioning of the mid-tier model and unlocks more of the Range Rover’s luxury appeal, including the available 35-speaker Meridian audio system with active noise cancellation.
• SV: This is the most powerful and most exclusive version, with the highest-output V8 and the most performance-oriented positioning in the lineup. It suits you if you want the most capable and most prestigious Range Rover and are willing to pay for it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Land Rover Range Rover?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and disciplined.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,079 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.16% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $112,666, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $112,679 sits slightly below last year's $136,021.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more favorably today. If you plan to sell later, the Range Rover’s strong name recognition and luxury positioning should still help, but the current trend shows that values can move down meaningfully. For a future seller, that means condition, mileage, and trim choice will matter a lot when it’s time to trade or list the vehicle.

Is the 2025 Land Rover Range Rover safe?

The 2025 Land Rover Range Rover does not have crash-test ratings from IIHS or NHTSA cited here.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, a driver attention monitor, adaptive cruise control with steering assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree camera system. Land Rover doesn’t offer anything more sophisticated, but everything that is on offer is standard.

The safety setup is solid for everyday use, though the lack of more advanced hands-free driving tech is a limitation compared with some rivals. The standard surround-view camera is especially helpful in a vehicle this size, but the parking aids can be overly sensitive and the camera view does not always appear automatically when needed.

Should I buy a 2025 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.16% compared with last year.
• Changes for 2025 are limited to some reshuffling of options, so the focus remains on the same core strengths.

The bottom line: If you want the latest version of the Range Rover with the same core luxury-and-capability formula, the 2025 is the straightforward choice. If you’re mainly chasing value, a nearby model year may be worth comparing closely, but the 2025 still looks appealing if you find the right listing and want the current-year package.
