Used 2025 Kia Telluride for Sale nearSanta Fe, NM

How much does the 2025 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 12.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,702 listings available, which suggests you should have a healthy range of choices.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride a good car?

Generally — the 2025 Kia Telluride earns 4/5 from users and 8.2/10 from experts. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

It stands out as a stylish, comfortable, and capable three-row SUV that works well for family use, long-distance travel, city driving, and even light trail use. The expert test drive data also points to a polished ride and strong safety performance.

The main trade-offs are outdated technology and an irritating lane-assist system, with sticky brakes in thick traffic also noted. For you, that means the Telluride makes the most sense if you value space, comfort, and capability more than the newest cabin tech.

33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Telluride’s reliability case is helped by its established platform, its long-running formula, and the expert assessment’s emphasis on a smooth, refined V6 powertrain. The road-test notes also describe it as well suited to long-distance travel, which is a good sign for everyday durability and comfort over time.

Kia’s warranty coverage adds another layer of reassurance, including a five-year/60,000-mile new vehicle warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that aging technology and driver-assist quirks may be more annoying than mechanically serious.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Telluride?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, cabin wear, brake feel, and whether the driver-assist systems behave the way you want them to.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup starts with the LX, and the higher trims add more upscale equipment, with the SX and SX Prestige bringing the most advanced cabin presentation and features. The base trim still gets a generous safety package, but the cabin tech and luxury touches improve as you move up.
• Powertrain: Every Telluride uses a 3.8-liter V6 with 291 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on the LX, S, EX, and SX, while AWD is standard on other versions and available on some lower trims.
• Safety package: Drive Wise is the named driver-assistance suite, and it includes forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, intersection assistance, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, safe exit assist, and Highway Driving Assist. Higher trims add lane-change assist, and the top model adds more camera- and collision-avoidance features.
• Infotainment: SX and SX Prestige trims get a 12.3-inch digital driver display paired with a 12.3-inch touchscreen under one piece of glass, plus a 10-inch head-up display on SX Prestige. The Telluride does not have wireless Apple CarPlay or wireless Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert road test returned 20.2 mpg over nearly 1,200 miles, and the combined EPA rating is 20 mpg.

Which 2025 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2025 Kia Telluride is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, S, EX, SX, and SX Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it still comes with a generous safety suite and the core Telluride experience. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and can live without the richer tech and luxury upgrades.
• S: This trim adds more equipment while staying below the pricier upper trims, making it a sensible middle-ground choice if you want more content without going all the way up the range.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it sits in the sweet spot between price and equipment, and it can also be paired with the X-Line package if you want more capability.
• SX: This trim brings the more advanced dual-screen setup and a more upscale feel, so it suits you if cabin tech matters more than keeping the price down.
• SX Prestige: This is the most luxurious mainstream choice in the lineup, with the richest tech presentation and the most premium-feeling cabin. If you want the most complete Telluride experience, this is the one to target.

Every Telluride trim comes standard with Highway Driving Assist, and higher trims add lane-change assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia Telluride?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,702 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,916, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $35,954 sits slightly below last year's $40,936.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the Telluride’s broad appeal and strong reputation should help support demand, but you should still expect resale values to track overall market softness.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride safe?

The 2025 Kia Telluride earns a five-star overall rating in crash tests performed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), and it earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Drive Wise is the named driver-assistance suite, and it includes forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, intersection assistance, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, safe exit assist, and Highway Driving Assist. Higher trims add lane-change assist, and the top model adds camera-based blind-spot viewing, evasive steering assist, front cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, oncoming collision avoidance, lane-change collision avoidance, and a surround-view camera.

One caveat is that the lane-centering system can be irritating on curves and bends, so you may want to test it carefully on your usual roads.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2025 stands out for its long-distance comfort and strong safety ratings.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $35,230, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $35,954 average.
• It feels especially well suited to family life.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year pricing context and the strongest current-market selection, the 2025 is the better default choice. If your priority is saving money and you’re comfortable with a very similar overall formula, the 2024 is the smarter value play.

How does the 2025 Kia Telluride compare to the 2025 Hyundai Palisade?

Our experts score the 2025 Kia Telluride 8.2/10 and the 2025 Hyundai Palisade 9/10. The Telluride offers a slightly lower average used price and a bit more city fuel economy, while the Palisade has the edge in expert score, deal share, and accident-free share. If you want the stronger overall expert pick, the Palisade leads; if you want the lower average used price and a very similar powertrain, the Telluride remains compelling.
