How much does the 2025 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 15.10% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,818 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride a good car?

Generally — it earns a 4/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

The 2025 Telluride fits the family-friendly, midsize three-row SUV role especially well, with a stylish design, a comfortable driving experience, and strong safety ratings. In testing, it also proved well suited to long-distance travel, handling interstate driving, city streets, and trails near a national park with ease.

The main trade-offs are aging technology and a lane-assist system that can be frustrating. Sticky brakes in thick traffic were another downside, even though they did not outweigh the Telluride’s overall comfort and capability.

With 37.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Telluride’s appeal is reinforced by its comfortable, capable character and its strong safety reputation. It also benefits from a smooth, refined V6 powertrain that delivered respectable fuel economy in testing and handled long-distance driving with confidence.

Kia’s warranty coverage adds another layer of reassurance, including a five-year/60,000-mile new vehicle warranty, a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, and five-year/60,000-mile roadside assistance. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that aging technology and driver-assist behavior may be more noticeable as the vehicle gets older.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Telluride?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, brake feel, and whether the driver-assistance systems behave the way you want in real-world driving.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes LX, S, EX, SX, and SX Prestige. The base LX and S miss out on the X-Line package, while higher trims can add X-Line or X-Pro equipment that changes the SUV’s look and capability.
• Powertrain: Every Telluride uses a 3.8-liter V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard on LX, S, EX, and SX, while AWD is standard on other versions and available on S, EX, and SX.
• Safety package: Drive Wise includes forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, intersection assistance, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, safe exit assist, and Highway Driving Assist. Higher trims add lane-change assist, and the top model adds more advanced camera- and collision-avoidance features.
• Infotainment: SX and SX Prestige trims get a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen under one piece of glass. The system does not offer wireless Apple CarPlay or wireless Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The Telluride returned 20.2 mpg in testing, which aligns with its 20 mpg combined EPA rating.

Which 2025 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2025 Kia Telluride is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, S, EX, SX, and SX Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Telluride’s core strengths at the lowest price. It makes the most sense if you want the SUV’s space, style, and safety without paying for extra tech.
• S: This trim is the better value if you want a step up in equipment without jumping too far in price. It keeps the Telluride’s family-friendly formula intact while broadening the appeal.
• EX: This is the trim to target if you want a more upscale feel and the flexibility to add X-Line or X-Pro equipment. It’s the best-value choice for many shoppers because it balances features and price well.
• SX: This trim brings the larger digital displays and a more premium tech experience. It suits you if you want the Telluride to feel more modern inside.
• SX Prestige: This is the most luxurious mainstream choice in the lineup, with the richest tech and comfort content. It’s the right pick if you want the most complete version of the Telluride.

Higher trims also bring more advanced safety and driver-assistance features, including lane-change assist on upper versions.

• Deal availability: 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,818 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.10% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $36,019, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $36,019 sits slightly below last year's $42,424.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim desirability rather than broad market momentum alone.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Kia Telluride safe?

The Telluride earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia’s Drive Wise suite includes forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, intersection assist, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, safe exit assist, and Highway Driving Assist. Higher trims add lane-change assist, and the top model adds Blind Spot View Monitor, evasive steering assist, front cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, oncoming collision avoidance, lane-change collision avoidance, and a surround-view camera.

One caveat is that the lane-centering system can be frustrating on curves and may feel overly assertive in some driving situations.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong safety ratings with a comfortable, capable road-trip character.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $35,973, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $36,019 average.
• It feels especially complete and polished for family use.

The bottom line: If you want the freshest market snapshot and strong availability, the 2025 is the better starting point. If your priority is saving a little money and you’re comfortable with a very similar overall package, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
