You get a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a matching 12.3-inch digital instrument display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Kia Connect, and Smart Key keyless entry with remote start and pushbutton start, so it feels well equipped even before you move up the trim ladder. What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Sportage?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any listing you’re serious about, especially if the price looks unusually strong. Focus your attention on overall condition, equipment operation, and whether the trim level matches the features you want.

That price movement suggests the Sportage has softened enough to create a more favorable entry point for you as a buyer, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Strong equipment and broad appeal can help support demand when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $28,404, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $27,610 average.
• It brings revised styling for the current-generation Sportage.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2025 if you want the better value proposition and a strong mix of inventory, pricing, and owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to pay more for updated styling, the 2026 is the secondary path, but price-sensitive buyers will likely find the 2025 easier to justify.
