Is the 2025 Kia Seltos a good car?

The 2025 Kia Seltos stands out as a subcompact crossover that feels more substantial than its size suggests. It offers a premium-leaning cabin for the price, a practical layout, refined driving manners, and generous passenger and cargo space for its class.

For 2025, it also benefits from refreshed styling, Kia’s panoramic display, Kia Connect, and a USB-C port, while available features like a larger touchscreen, Syntex upholstery, heated front seats, a power sunroof, and driver-assistance equipment broaden its appeal. If you want a small SUV with a more rugged personality and a well-thought-out interior, it fits that brief well. 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Kia Seltos reliable?

The 2025 Kia Seltos benefits from the broader updates introduced for the refreshed model, and it keeps the qualities that made it appealing in the first place: refined driving manners, generous space, and a practical interior. It also avoids some of the concerns tied to earlier versions, which makes the later updated model the safer used-buying choice.

That said, the cabin can be noisy, and the base engine is described as underpowered. For long-term ownership, you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and overall condition, especially if you plan to keep the vehicle for many years.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia Seltos?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the vehicle’s records match its condition. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on signs of wear in the cabin, tire condition, and how the drivetrain feels during a test drive.

What is the 2025 Kia Seltos's resale value?

The current average of $23,952 sits slightly below last year's $24,404.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable point. The good news is that the Seltos still has broad appeal thanks to its space, practicality, and upscale feel for the class.

Should I buy a 2025 Kia Seltos or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.85% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $22,906, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $23,952 average.
• It adds refreshed tech and standard AWD on the base trim.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better pick if you want the latest version of the refreshed Seltos and you value the stronger market mix of deal opportunities and clean inventory. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2024 is the smarter value play, especially if you find one in strong condition with the equipment you want.
