Summary
With 105 currently listed for sale near Toledo, OH and an average price of $21,119.00, 36.2% of 2025 Kia K4s for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2025 Kia K4 5 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.83 / 10.

Why it stands out
The 2025 Kia K4 stands out as Kia’s new compact sedan with a fresh name and a new look, and it is positioned as a value-focused alternative in a crowded class. Its appeal starts with an impressive suite of standard tech, attractive features, and an affordable price tag, while also building on the Forte’s practical strengths, especially cargo space. It is also described as offering more passenger space and more cargo space, which helps give it a more useful feel than a basic small sedan.
That practicality comes with some tradeoffs. The 2025 Kia K4 is still not quite as satisfying to drive as the segment leader, and its powertrains are described as underwhelming. Even so, its combination of excellent cargo space, impressive tech features, and a starting price hovering around $22,000 makes it an appealing choice for shoppers who want a compact sedan that emphasizes value and everyday usefulness.

I think this cars value is good for the price. It has its cons but the pros outweigh the cons by a lot! The visibility is something you get used to. It is a compact sedan so I’m am driving a lot lower than I’m used too. The seats are manual meaning there’s levers you pull to adjust it not buttons. The trunk space is 10/10. Infotainment system 10/10 works very fast. Car feels great! It’s a nice ride! I’d recommended it as a first car! If you’re a student and it’ll only be you driving it. It isn’t a family car the back seats aren’t very spacious. If your going to and from work maybe doing a few road trips by yourself or with someone else I’d, you don’t care about speed or acceleration just leasure and getting from point A to point B I recommend it.

| Year-Round Low | $19,390.08 |
| Year-Round High | $22,767.77 |

Is the 2025 Kia K4 a good car?
Yes — the 2025 Kia K4 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Cost effectiveness.
It stands out as Kia’s new compact sedan with a fresh name, a new look, and a value-focused position in a crowded class. The appeal starts with standard tech, attractive features, more passenger space, and more cargo space, which makes it feel more useful than a basic small sedan.
The trade-offs are clear: it is still not as satisfying to drive as the segment leader, and its powertrains are underwhelming. Even so, the combination of excellent cargo space, impressive tech features, and an affordable price tag makes it a strong fit if you want everyday usefulness over driving excitement.
The model also posts a 30.3% good-or-great deal rate, which supports the case for shopping carefully but confidently.
Is the 2025 Kia K4 reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The K4 is described as a practical, value-oriented compact sedan that builds on the Forte’s strengths, especially cargo space, while adding more passenger room and more standard tech. Its standard 2.0-liter engine is tuned more for efficiency and everyday commuting than excitement, and the turbocharged version adds more punch if you want it.
The dependability picture is also helped by the car’s sensible commuter-car character and its strong fuel economy figures, which point to an ownership experience centered on routine use rather than complexity. If you buy used, the main long-term risk is that the car’s less engaging powertrains may leave you wishing for more performance than the chassis is built to deliver.
What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Kia K4?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or a car with optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the features you want are actually present on the trim you are looking at.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The K4 ranges from the LX through the LXS, EX, GT-Line, and GT-Line Turbo. Lower trims lean more basic inside, while EX and above add a 4-inch touchscreen controller between the gauge cluster and infotainment display, and GT-Line trims get a different steering wheel and a more upscale feel.
- Powertrain: The standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque with a CVT, while the GT-Line Turbo uses a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 190 hp and 195 lb-ft paired with an eight-speed automatic. The non-Turbo setup is tuned for efficiency and commuting, not excitement.
- Safety package: Every K4 includes lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, driver attention warning, haptic steering-wheel warnings, forward collision warning and assistance with car/pedestrian/cyclist detection, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go. Blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, surround-view monitor, blind-spot view monitor, and Highway Drive Assist 2 are available on higher-spec or optioned versions.
- Infotainment: Every K4 comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, four USB-C ports, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless charging on the higher trims discussed in the data. The GT-Line and GT-Line Turbo also add Kia’s navigation system with Google Points of Interest search and an AI Assistant.
- Fuel efficiency: The 2.0-liter engine is rated at 30 mpg city, 40 highway, and 34 combined, while the turbocharged version is rated at 26/36/29.
Which 2025 Kia K4 trim should I buy?
The 2025 Kia K4 is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, LXS, EX, GT-Line, and GT-Line Turbo.
Here's the short version:
- LX: This is the entry point if you want the lowest price and the core K4 experience. It still gets the big 12.3-inch touchscreen, four USB-C ports, and the standard safety suite, so you are not giving up the essentials.
- LXS: This is the trim to watch if you want a step up from the base car without chasing extras. It keeps the value-first formula intact while staying close to the lower end of the price range.
- EX: This is the best-value trim if you want a more polished cabin and a bit more convenience. It adds the 4-inch touchscreen controller between the gauge cluster and infotainment display, which makes the interior feel more upscale.
- GT-Line: This is the right pick if you want the sportier look and the richer tech experience. It adds the two-tone, three-spoke steering wheel, wireless phone projection, wireless charging, Kia navigation with Google Points of Interest search, and the AI Assistant.
- GT-Line Turbo: This is the one to buy if you want the strongest performance and the most complete feature set. It swaps in the 1.6-liter turbo engine, the eight-speed automatic, and adds the more premium equipment discussed in the data, including the Harman Kardon audio system and available Technology Package content.
The safety package is standard across the lineup, but blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, surround-view monitor, blind-spot view monitor, and Highway Drive Assist 2 are reserved for higher-spec or optioned versions.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Kia K4?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.
- Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 3,030 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.15% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 90.3% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $19,390.08, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2025 Kia K4's resale value?
The current average of $21,598 sits slightly below last year's $22,770.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can be good news if you are buying now but a mild headwind if you are thinking about future resale. A softer market can make it harder to recover top dollar later unless your car is especially clean, well-equipped, and priced competitively.
The upside is that the K4’s value-focused positioning, strong standard equipment, and broad appeal as a practical commuter should help it stay relevant with used shoppers. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the car well, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2025 Kia K4 safe?
It earns a 8/10 safety score from our experts.
The K4 has not yet been crash-tested by either NHTSA or IIHS, so there are no official crash ratings to cite yet. Even so, it comes with a lengthy standard safety list that includes lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, driver attention warning, haptic steering-wheel warnings, forward collision warning and assistance with car/pedestrian/cyclist detection, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go.
You can also add blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, surround-view monitor, blind-spot view monitor, and Highway Drive Assist 2 on higher-spec versions. The main caveat is that some of the more desirable driver-assistance features are not standard, so you will want to verify equipment carefully on any used example.
Should I buy a 2025 Kia K4 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2025 if:
- 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.3% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.15% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- It brings a fresh design, more standard tech, more passenger space, and more cargo space than the outgoing model.
The bottom line: If you want the newest version of Kia’s compact sedan with strong value, useful space, and a lot of standard equipment, the 2025 is the right default choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, you should still compare nearby model years and shop the cleanest, best-priced example rather than focusing only on the newest badge.
