How much does the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe cost?

Prices have softened 11.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,021 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for you to compare prices and trims.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and an expert rating of 7.7/10, the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe looks like a strong fit if you want a family-focused three-row crossover with standout styling. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The overview and test-drive notes point to a bold, blocky design, a longer wheelbase for more interior space, and a feature set that makes sense for a vehicle of this size. The trade-offs are that it is not the roomiest choice in its class, and top trims can get expensive.

You also get multiple powertrain options, impressive technology, and a great warranty, which broadens its appeal if you want a modern family SUV with some flexibility. The market shows 37.4% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Santa Fe’s reliability case is helped by Hyundai’s strong warranty coverage and the model’s family-oriented design, which is built around everyday usefulness. The performance notes also describe it as stable in corners with a firm brake feel and responsive steering, which supports confidence in regular driving.

Hyundai’s warranty is one of the best in the business, with a powertrain warranty good for 10 years or 100,000 miles and a limited warranty for five years or 60,000 miles. You also get free roadside assistance for five years with unlimited miles.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that higher-trim complexity and premium equipment can raise ownership costs if something needs repair.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re looking at a higher-trim example with more equipment. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the features you want are actually present on the specific trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Santa Fe is available in five trims: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy. The base trim starts with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, but only the top two trims get a digital gauge cluster of the same size. The top Calligraphy trim also swaps the second-row bench for captain’s chairs, while the XRT adds chrome and black trim, black roof rails, and a more rugged look.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.5-liter turbocharged engine makes 277 horsepower and 311 lb.-ft. of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is available across the lineup except for the XRT, which is AWD only. The XRT also gets 30-inch all-terrain tires and extra ground clearance.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision avoidance assist, lane keeping and lane following assist, and safe exit assist. Rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, and Highway Drive Assist are reserved for higher trims. The top trim adds blind spot avoidance, and the top two trims get Blind-View Monitor.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluelink app connectivity, and over-the-air updates. Navigation is not standard on every trim, while upper trims can add Amazon Music, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Hyundai Pay, a digital rearview mirror, a head-up display, and a fingerprint scanner.
• Fuel efficiency: The ICE model gets 24 mpg combined with front-wheel drive or 23 mpg with all-wheel drive. The XRT returns 22 mpg combined. The hybrid returns 24 mpg combined in FWD form and 2 mpg less with AWD.

Which 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe is offered in 5 trim levels: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Santa Fe experience with the standard 12.3-inch touchscreen and the full-size family-SUV layout. It makes sense if you want the design and space without paying for extra luxury features.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds meaningful equipment without pushing the price into the top-trim range. It also unlocks the expanded driver monitor system, which can bring the car to a stop, unlock the doors, and turn on the hazards if the driver is incapacitated after warnings are ignored.
• XRT: Choose this if you want the more rugged-looking version with black roof rails, all-terrain tires, and extra ground clearance. It is the only AWD-only trim, but it is not a true rock-crawler.
• Limited: This is the step-up choice if you want more premium features and are willing to pay for them. It sits close to the top of the range, so it suits you best if comfort and equipment matter more than value.
• Calligraphy: This is the most upscale version, with 21-inch wheels, captain’s chairs in the second row, and available head-up display. It is the right pick if you want the most luxurious Santa Fe experience and are comfortable with the price.

The safety package is strong across the lineup, but some driver-assistance features still require higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,021 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.73% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,648, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe's resale value?

The current average of $31,648 sits slightly below last year's $35,855.

That price movement suggests the Santa Fe has become more affordable for used buyers, which can help you enter the market at a better point. For a future seller, the same softer pricing means you may need to be more competitive when it’s time to list.

The good news is that the model’s strong feature content, broad appeal, and family-friendly positioning can help support demand. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in good condition, you should have a reasonable path to resale later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe safe?

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe earns four-star ratings from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, forward-collision avoidance assist, lane keeping and lane following assist, and safe exit assist. Higher trims add rear parking collision avoidance assist, side park distance warning, Highway Drive Assist, blind spot avoidance, and Blind-View Monitor.

One caveat is that IIHS rated the headlights and LATCH categories as Acceptable rather than Good, so you should pay attention to trim and equipment details if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It pairs bold styling with a longer wheelbase, more interior space, and strong technology.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $30,300, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $31,648 average.
• It introduced a full redesign with a bold look and more space.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It adds a new transmission, added safety features, and minor equipment updates.

The bottom line: If you want the latest used Santa Fe with strong deal availability and a standout design, the 2025 is the primary target. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the smarter value play, while the 2026 is the better choice if you want the newest updates and can pay more.
