Used 2025 Hyundai Kona for Sale nearSpokane, WA

How much does the 2025 Hyundai Kona cost?

Prices have softened 10.99% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,990 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Hyundai Kona earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its modern design, tech features, and comfortable ride, and they especially like the wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and touchscreen radio. The Kona also stands out for its spacious feel and practical everyday usability, which fits well with its small-SUV mission. On the trade-off side, the engine can feel short on power for quicker acceleration, and the design may not appeal to everyone.

That makes it a strong fit if you want a versatile, well-equipped subcompact SUV rather than something tuned for speed. With 39.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s also a decent amount of market flexibility if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with drivers describing the Kona as comfortable and well-liked over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes Hyundai’s reassuring warranty coverage and the model’s practical, value-focused character, which supports confidence in day-to-day use. On the maintenance side, the ownership package includes a strong warranty and roadside assistance coverage.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about choosing the right trim and condition, since the base powertrain is not the most engaging and equipment varies meaningfully by version.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple trims or higher-mileage examples. Focus on overall condition, feature content, and whether the equipment level matches what you want to live with every day. Because the Kona’s appeal is tied closely to its tech and safety content, it’s worth confirming that everything works as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE, SEL, SEL Convenience, N Line S, N Line, and Limited trims differ meaningfully in appearance and equipment. Base trims are simpler, while higher trims add larger wheels, rear privacy glass, a sunroof on N Line and Limited, and a powered liftgate only on Limited.
• Powertrain: The SE, SEL, and SEL Convenience use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with an IVT, while N Line S, N Line, and Limited use a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with an eight-speed automatic. The base setup prioritizes efficiency, while the turbo version is more muscular.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, and Safe Exit Warning. SEL Convenience and above add Highway Driving Assist and enhanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with junction turning and door opening detection.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 12.3-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and over-the-air updates. SEL Convenience and above add wireless charging and a digital key, while built-in navigation starts on SEL Convenience and continues on N Line and Limited.
• Fuel efficiency: The base FWD 2.0-liter engine returns 31 mpg combined, while AWD drops that figure by around 3 mpg. The turbo engine is rated at 28 mpg combined in FWD form and 26 mpg combined with AWD.

Which 2025 Hyundai Kona trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona is offered in 6 trim levels: SE, SEL, SEL Convenience, N Line S, N Line, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the least expensive way into the Kona, and it gives you the core package of space, standard safety tech, and the 12.3-inch touchscreen. It makes sense if you want the lowest entry price and can live without the extra convenience features.
• SEL: This trim adds a bit more polish without jumping too far up the price ladder, making it a sensible middle ground if you want a better-equipped daily driver. It’s a good fit if you want value without stretching into the more feature-rich trims.
• SEL Convenience: This is the best-value trim. It adds heated front seats, the larger digital display setup, Highway Driving Assist, built-in navigation, a wireless phone charger, digital key, and a WiFi hotspot, which makes it the sweet spot for most shoppers.
• N Line S: This trim brings the turbocharged engine and a sportier look, so it’s the right choice if you want more punch and a more distinctive appearance. It suits buyers who care more about performance and style than maximum value.
• N Line: This version layers on more of the sporty character and premium tech, including the stronger audio setup and the same turbo powertrain. It’s a good pick if you want the performance-oriented Kona without going all the way to the top trim.
• Limited: This is the most fully equipped Kona, with the most convenience and parking tech, plus the highest-end feature set. Choose it if you want the most content and don’t mind paying for it.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but SEL Convenience and above add the most meaningful driver-assistance upgrades.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,990 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.99% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,245, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Kona's resale value?

The current average of $21,245 sits slightly below last year's $23,869.

That price movement suggests the Kona has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. A softer used market can also make it easier to find a competitive entry point now, but it means you should be realistic about near-term resale gains. If you choose a well-equipped trim and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you’ll be better positioned when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona safe?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona earns a Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, and Safe Exit Warning. SEL Convenience and above add Highway Driving Assist and enhanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with junction turning and door opening detection, while Limited adds parking-focused features such as Parking Distance Warning, Surround View Monitor, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.

That means even the base Kona gives you a strong safety foundation, but higher trims add more convenience-oriented driver assistance. The model’s standout safety reputation is a major reason it remains appealing in this class.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Kona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the same practical space, standard safety, and modern tech while adding a couple of new trim levels.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $21,551, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $21,245 average.
• It launched a fresh generation with new look, tech, and equipment.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It simplifies the lineup and adds more standard safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current pricing, strong safety, and broad inventory, the 2025 is the better starting point. If you’re shopping strictly on price, the 2024 can still make sense, but the 2025’s softer pricing and strong deal share give you a better chance to land a well-equipped example at a compelling value.
