Used 2025 Hyundai Kona for Sale nearSanta Fe, NM

How much does the 2025 Hyundai Kona cost?

Prices have softened 11.79% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,980 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona a good car?

Yes — the 2025 Hyundai Kona earns 4.8/5 from owners and 8/10 from our experts. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its modern design, tech features, and comfortable ride. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come up repeatedly as standout conveniences, along with the touchscreen interface. The main trade-offs are its fairly pedestrian performance and some complaints about interior materials and passenger-seat adjustability.

That lines up with the broader use case: you’re looking at a compact SUV that prioritizes everyday practicality, useful space, and modern tech over excitement. Even so, 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which is a healthy sign of market availability.

Is the 2025 Hyundai Kona reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a vehicle that feels modern, comfortable, and easy to live with, while also suggesting it can be a dependable everyday choice for buyers who value tech and convenience. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that Hyundai’s safety and feature set is broad even at lower trims, which supports the impression of a well-rounded ownership experience.

Hyundai’s warranty coverage adds another ownership advantage, including 10 years or 100,000 miles of powertrain coverage and five years or 60,000 miles of limited warranty coverage. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the specific example was maintained well and equipped with the features you want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple trims or considering a higher-mileage example. Focus on condition, feature content, and whether the trim level matches your needs, since the Kona’s equipment spread changes meaningfully as you move up the range.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE, SEL, SEL Convenience, N Line S, N Line, and Limited each add visible equipment and comfort upgrades, with the base trim missing some of the richer tech and convenience features found higher up. If you want the best value, the SEL Convenience stands out for adding heated front seats, the larger digital display setup, Highway Assist, built-in navigation, a wireless phone charger, digital key, and a WiFi hotspot.
• Powertrain: The SE, SEL, and SEL Convenience use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 147 horsepower and an IVT, while N Line S, N Line, and Limited use a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 190 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic. The base setup favors efficiency, while the turbo engine brings stronger acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, and Safe Exit Warning. SEL Convenience and above add Highway Driving Assist and enhanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with junction turning and door opening detection.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 12.3-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. SEL Convenience and above add wireless smartphone charging and Hyundai’s digital key, while built-in navigation is limited to SEL Convenience, N Line, and Limited.
• Fuel efficiency: The FWD 2.0-liter base engine returns 31 mpg combined, while AWD drops that figure by around 3 mpg. The turbo engine is rated at 28 mpg combined in FWD form and 26 mpg with AWD.

Which 2025 Hyundai Kona trim should I buy?

The 2025 Hyundai Kona is offered in 6 trim levels: SE, SEL, SEL Convenience, N Line S, N Line, and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Kona’s core strengths at the lowest price. You still get the 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the full standard safety suite, so it makes sense if you want the basics without paying for extras.
• SEL: This trim adds a bit more polish and is the step up if you want a more balanced daily driver without jumping too far in price. It’s a sensible middle ground, but the value story gets stronger once you reach SEL Convenience.
• SEL Convenience: This is the best-value trim. It adds heated front seats, the larger digital instrument display, Highway Driving Assist, built-in navigation, a wireless phone charger, digital key, and a WiFi hotspot, making it the sweet spot for shoppers who want meaningful upgrades.
• N Line S: This trim brings the turbocharged 1.6-liter engine and a sportier appearance treatment, so it’s the right move if you want more power and a more aggressive look.
• N Line: This is the better choice if you want the turbo engine plus the upgraded audio experience and the sportier trim treatment without going all the way to Limited.
• Limited: This is the most feature-rich Kona, adding the most convenience tech, parking aids, and premium touches. It suits you best if you want the fullest equipment list and don’t mind paying for it.

Safety equipment is standard across the lineup, while SEL Convenience and above add more advanced driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai Kona?

• Deal availability: 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,980 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.79% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,351, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai Kona's resale value?

The current average of $21,351 sits slightly below last year's $24,204.

That decline suggests the Kona is currently in a buyer-friendly phase, which can help you if you’re shopping now but may temper resale expectations if you plan to sell soon. For future sellers, the good news is that the model still has strong appeal thanks to its tech, safety content, and practical packaging. If demand stays steady, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than less well-equipped small SUVs.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai Kona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the second-generation Kona’s practical space, standard safety tech, and modern wireless connectivity.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $21,484, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $21,351 average.
• It brings a fresh redesign with new tech and a broader value proposition.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It simplifies the lineup and adds more standard safety features.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2025 if you want the best mix of price softness, strong owner satisfaction, and broad feature content. If you’re shopping strictly on value, the 2025 is the more compelling buy right now; if you want to compare across years, the 2024 and 2026 are worth considering for their own specific strengths.
