Is the 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 6 a good car?

The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6 stands out as a midsize electric sedan with a quirky fastback design and a mix of mainstream affordability and available premium features. It also has a reputation for strong range and quick charging, which helped it make an impression when it launched as a non-luxury EV with more than 300 miles of all-electric range.

For used-car shoppers, that combination can make it appealing if you want an EV sedan that balances value, range, and available upscale equipment. Its sedan body style can also mean stronger depreciation than crossover alternatives, which may work in your favor when shopping used.

37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 6 reliable?

The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6 benefits from the model’s generally good reliability record and from the fact that this final U.S. sales year is described as the best choice among the three model years. The 2025 model is noted for having the highest predictive reliability score, the fewest recalls and complaints logged on the NHTSA website, and for having worked out early software bugs.

That makes it a stronger used-buying candidate than earlier versions, especially if you want a newer EV with fewer known issues. Even so, long-term ownership risk still depends on how carefully the car was maintained and whether recall work was completed.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 6?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that any recall repairs were completed before you buy. Put extra inspection priority on charging-related systems, body condition, and interior wear, since EV-specific repairs and cosmetic issues can affect value quickly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 6?

• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.01% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $29,911, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 6's resale value?

The current average of $30,302 sits slightly below last year's $32,587.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and whether the car has a clean history and complete recall documentation.

Should I buy a 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.01% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,371, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $30,302 average.
• It offers a polished, practical EV-sedan experience with strong range and comfort.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest all-around used Ioniq 6 choice, the 2025 is the primary path because it combines the best reliability outlook with solid market availability. If your top priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better secondary path because it comes in noticeably cheaper while still delivering the core Ioniq 6 appeal.
