How much does the 2025 Honda HR-V cost?

Is the 2025 Honda HR-V a good car?

The 2025 Honda HR-V stands out as a practical, easy-to-live-with compact SUV that emphasizes comfort, usability, and everyday refinement. It offers a higher driving position and a useful cargo area, and the ride is described as very good.

You also get an updated infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a standard seven-inch touchscreen and an available nine-inch screen on the top-spec model. Honda Sensing is part of the package as well, adding a broad set of driver-assistance features for daily use.

For shoppers who want a small SUV that prioritizes comfort, convenience, and a straightforward ownership experience, the HR-V makes a strong case. 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Honda HR-V reliable?

The 2025 Honda HR-V stands out by balancing Honda’s strong reliability reputation with a spacious interior and a long list of useful features. It is built around comfort and usability rather than complexity, which should appeal if you want a simple, low-stress used SUV.

Its standard safety and convenience equipment also supports that easy-to-live-with character, including 10 airbags across the range and available blind-spot information with rear cross-traffic alert and parking sensors on certain models.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about sophistication and more about whether the vehicle was maintained well and used in a way that matches its modest performance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Honda HR-V?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one with incomplete service records. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the cabin and technology features operate as expected.

Because this model is meant to be a practical daily driver, a clean history and well-kept interior matter as much as mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Honda HR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,798 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.22% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,794, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Honda HR-V's resale value?

The current average of $26,420 sits slightly below last year's $27,021.

That suggests the market has softened a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now if you plan to keep the vehicle for several years. For a future seller, the current trend points to a model that should remain reasonably liquid, but not one that is appreciating in the near term.

If you buy well and keep the HR-V in clean condition, you should be able to protect value better than if you overpay today. The key is to focus on a fair purchase price now, since resale will likely track broader market movement rather than any sudden jump in demand.

Should I buy a 2025 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.22% compared with last year.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $28,678, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $26,420 average.
• It adds a refreshed infotainment system with a larger, faster touchscreen and wireless smartphone features.

The bottom line:
The 2025 is the better primary pick if you want the stronger value proposition, especially with softer pricing and a healthy share of clean listings. If you are price-sensitive, the 2025 makes more sense than paying extra for the 2026 refresh unless the updated tech is a must-have for you.
