How much does the 2025 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 13.20% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,603 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

The 2025 GMC Yukon XL stands out as a full-size SUV built around space, flexibility, and a wide spread of powertrain choices. Its long-wheelbase design adds more than a foot between the front and rear axles, which translates into extra room for third-row passengers and a larger cargo area. It also offers three powertrain options, all paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, including a standard 5.3L V8, an optional 6.2L V8, and an optional 3.0L Duramax turbo diesel engine.

That combination makes the Yukon XL appealing if you need a large SUV that can be configured for family duty, towing, or long-distance efficiency. For 2025, GMC also broadened the Yukon XL’s appeal with updates to the lineup and cabin, including a larger infotainment screen and available Night Vision.

36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

The 2025 GMC Yukon XL stands out as a full-size SUV built around space, flexibility, and a wide spread of powertrain choices. Its long-wheelbase design and three-engine lineup make it a practical fit if you need a large SUV for family hauling, towing, or long-distance use.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a vehicle this large can be expensive to run and maintain over time, especially if you plan to use its size and capability regularly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 GMC Yukon XL?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims about ownership, service, and prior damage. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing on a vehicle this large, especially if you plan to use it for towing or frequent family travel. Focus your attention on overall condition, interior wear, and how well the vehicle’s features and electronics operate.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Yukon XL?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,603 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.20% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $71,809, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $71,809 sits slightly below last year's $82,730.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy with less risk of overpaying today. For a future seller, the current trend means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped. If you keep the SUV clean, well maintained, and in desirable trim or powertrain combinations, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.20% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2025 is the better pick if you want the updated cabin, expanded tech, and the strongest mix of space and flexibility in this lineup. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby model year may be the better path, especially if you can find a well-kept example with the equipment you want at a lower asking price.
