How much does the 2025 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have softened 8.22% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,274 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 GMC Terrain a good car?

The 2025 GMC Terrain stands out as a redesigned compact SUV with a more upscale, tech-heavy cabin than before. Standard equipment is especially notable, with a 15-inch touchscreen, Google built-in, an 11-inch digital driver information center, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and LED headlamps all included.

It also brings a useful mix of safety and convenience features, including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and multiple braking and alert systems. The Terrain’s appeal is strongest if you want a compact SUV with a premium feel and a lot of standard technology, though it is not the roomiest choice in the class. 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 GMC Terrain reliable?

The 2025 GMC Terrain emphasizes a broad standard safety suite and a well-equipped cabin, which should help make ownership feel straightforward and confidence-inspiring. It also includes Teen Driver technology, which can be useful for families managing new drivers.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a premium-feeling compact SUV with a lot of technology can be more sensitive to maintenance history and condition than a simpler vehicle, so you should pay close attention to how the specific example was cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 GMC Terrain?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims. Put inspection priority on the cabin electronics, driver-assistance features, tires, brakes, and signs of uneven wear, since those details matter most on a tech-heavy used SUV. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records so you can separate a well-kept example from one that has been neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 GMC Terrain?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,274 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.22% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,056, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $27,056 sits slightly below last year's $29,480.

That price movement suggests the Terrain has softened enough to create a better entry point for you as a buyer, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on how well you preserve the vehicle’s condition. If you buy carefully and keep mileage, maintenance, and cosmetic wear in check, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell. A clean, well-documented example will likely hold up better than one with visible wear or incomplete service history.

Should I buy a 2025 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.22% compared with last year.

The 2025 is the better pick if you want the newer redesign, the upgraded cabin, and the strongest standard tech package in this comparison. If your priority is spending less, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2025 gives you the most up-to-date version of the Terrain’s premium feel and equipment.
