Used 2025 Ford Expedition for Sale nearSaint Augustine, FL

How much does the 2025 Ford Expedition cost?

Prices have softened 18.90% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,178 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare across trims and equipment levels.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from users and 7.5/10 from our experts. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Technology.

The 2025 Ford Expedition is aimed at you if you want a full-size SUV with major interior space and strong towing capability, plus a cabin that feels modern and tech-forward. It also stands out for being surprisingly easy to drive for something this large, which helps make its size more manageable in everyday use.

The main trade-offs are that its engines are thirsty and some of the tech depends on an additional subscription. Even so, the combination of capability, standard equipment, and advanced features makes it a compelling choice if you need a big SUV and are willing to pay for it.

35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are real opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2025 Ford Expedition is built around a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6, and the expert evaluation says the powertrain had no trouble moving the SUV up to highway speed despite its weight. It also notes that the transmission shifts quietly and accurately, and that the suspension stays composed over rough pavement.

Ford also includes a year of complimentary access to its connectivity package before a paid subscription is required, which can help you evaluate the tech before committing to ongoing costs. For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is that the vehicle’s size, power, and tech can translate into higher running costs if you plan to keep it for a while.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Ford Expedition?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one that has been used for towing. Focus on overall condition, because a large SUV like this can hide wear in the seats, cargo area, and suspension more easily than a smaller vehicle.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Active trim already brings a lot of equipment, including ActiveX synthetic leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, power-folding rear seats, and the 24-inch panoramic driver information display. Higher trims add nicer materials and more upscale appointments, so the base trim is the one to scrutinize most closely if you want the best value.
• Powertrain: Every 2025 Expedition uses a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6. The standard version makes 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, while the Tremor gets a high-output version with 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, and that stronger engine is also available on Platinum.
• Safety package: Ford makes automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist, and Pro-Trailer Backup Assist standard. BlueCruise 1.4 is available on Active, Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch, but it requires a trial and then a paid subscription.
• Infotainment: The Expedition uses a 13.2-inch touchscreen with a Google-based operating system, built-in Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Google Play store. Wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay is the fallback if you do not subscribe to the connectivity package.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA rates 2WD models at 16 mpg city, 24 highway, and 18 combined, while 4WD models are rated at 15/22/18. In testing, a 4WD King Ranch returned 13.8 mpg.

Which 2025 Ford Expedition trim should I buy?

The 2025 Ford Expedition is offered in 4 trim levels: Active, Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch.

Here's the short version:

• Active: This is the best-value trim if you want the Expedition’s core strengths without stretching too far on price. It already includes a lot of standard equipment, and it is the only trim with rear-wheel drive standard if you want to keep costs down.
• Platinum: Choose this if you want a more upscale version and the option to add the high-output engine. It is the right fit if you care more about luxury and stronger performance than about keeping the purchase price in check.
• Tremor: This is the one to buy if you want the most trail-ready Expedition. It adds the high-output engine, 4WD, 33-inch all-terrain tires, skid plates, an electronic locking rear axle, and extra ground clearance, making it the clear choice for buyers who want off-pavement capability.
• King Ranch: Pick this if you want the most premium-feeling Expedition and are willing to pay for it. The expert review highlights significantly nicer materials and Del Rio leather seating, so this is the trim for buyers who prioritize comfort and upscale presentation.

BlueCruise 1.4 is available on Active, Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Ford Expedition?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,178 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.90% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $60,270, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Ford Expedition's resale value?

The current average of $61,261 sits slightly below last year's $75,540.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice rather than assuming the model will hold its price automatically.

Because the current average is still well above the year-round low, there is room for values to move within the market depending on equipment and demand. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2025 Ford Expedition safe?

The 2025 Ford Expedition earns Good ratings from IIHS testing, though the crash testing referenced was performed on a previous-generation 2023 model. That means the available results are encouraging, but they may not fully reflect the updated Expedition’s crashworthiness.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford makes a strong standard safety suite part of the package, including automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alerts, Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist, and Pro-Trailer Backup Assist. BlueCruise 1.4 is available on Active, Platinum, Tremor, and King Ranch, but it is not standard across the lineup.

The main caveat is that up-to-date crash tests are not available for this model year, so you should weigh the standard safety equipment alongside the fact that the newest crash data is indirect.

Should I buy a 2025 Ford Expedition or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.90% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The new Tremor trim expands the Expedition’s mission with more off-road capability than before, while the cabin keeps its futuristic, tech-forward feel.

The bottom line: If you want the newest Expedition with the broadest trim mix and the added Tremor option, the 2025 is the one to target. If your priority is simply getting into a large, capable SUV for less money, a nearby model year may be the better value play, especially if you can find the equipment you want at a lower price.
