How much does the 2025 Dodge Durango cost?

Prices have softened 20.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,139 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Dodge Durango a good car?

The 2025 Dodge Durango earns a 7.2/10 from our experts, and its appeal still rests on a roomy, comfortable, and practical interior paired with a modern infotainment system.

The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

That makes it a strong fit if you want a family hauler with more personality than most midsize three-row SUVs. The trade-offs are clear, though: it has an unquenchable thirst for fuel and a basic package of safety features, and its crash-test performance is unimpressive.

The market also looks reasonably favorable, with 37.4% of listings priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Dodge Durango reliable?

The 2025 Dodge Durango is described as an older design that still feels comfortable and practical, but its age shows in a few important areas.

Its performance story is straightforward: the Durango still delivers strong capability and a modern-feeling driving experience, but it does so with clear compromises in efficiency and safety. The infotainment setup is current, and the SUV’s overall packaging remains appealing for buyers who value space and personality.

Dodge also says the Durango’s interior is undeniably comfortable and practical, which helps it make sense as a long-term family vehicle if you can live with its age-related drawbacks. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that an aging platform can mean more compromise in safety, efficiency, and overall refinement than newer rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Dodge Durango?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re shopping for a higher-mileage example or a trim with more complex equipment. Focus on overall condition, signs of hard use, and whether the vehicle’s features and maintenance history match the way you plan to use it.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup ranges from a base GT with a V6 and rear-wheel drive to the SRT Hellcat with a supercharged V8 and all-wheel drive. The higher trims add more visual attitude and premium cabin materials, while the base setup is more straightforward.
• Powertrain: The GT uses a 295-horsepower 3.6-liter V6, the R/T uses a 360-hp 5.7-liter V8, and the SRT Hellcat uses a 710-hp supercharged 6.2-liter V8. All use an eight-speed automatic transmission.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. Available upgrades add adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and front parking sensors.
• Infotainment: All 2025 Durangos have a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, native navigation, SiriusXM 360L, Dodge Connect, SiriusXM Guardian, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, dual-phone Bluetooth pairing, Alexa compatibility, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Fuel efficiency: The SRT Hellcat returns 12/17/13 mpg in city/highway/combined driving.

Which 2025 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2025 Dodge Durango is offered in 3 trim levels: GT, R/T, SRT Hellcat.

Here's the short version:

• GT: This is the entry point and the best-value choice if you want the Durango’s core strengths without chasing maximum power. It gives you the 295-horsepower V6, rear-wheel drive, and the full modern infotainment setup.
• R/T: This is the step-up choice if you want more muscle and standard all-wheel drive. It adds the 360-horsepower V8 and suits you if performance matters more than keeping costs down.
• SRT Hellcat: This is the halo trim for buyers who want the most extreme version of the Durango, with a 710-horsepower supercharged V8, full-time AWD, performance brakes, adaptive damping, and track-ready hardware.

The safety package is short by modern standards, and the available driver-assistance upgrades are worth prioritizing if you want the most complete setup.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Dodge Durango?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,139 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.94% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,443, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $33,443 sits slightly below last year's $42,299.

That drop suggests the Durango has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer resale environment than owners saw a year ago. If you buy now at the lower end of the range, you may have less downside exposure than someone who paid closer to the prior-year average. The flip side is that the model’s age and fuel economy can continue to weigh on long-term value retention.

Is the 2025 Dodge Durango safe?

The 2025 Dodge Durango earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, along with a three-star rollover resistance rating for AWD models.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. Available upgrades add adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and front parking sensors.

The main caveat is that the Durango’s crash-test performance is a concern, especially in the small overlap frontal-impact test.

Should I buy a 2025 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 20.94% compared with last year.
• It’s the final-year Durango, with a simplified lineup and strong performance focus.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the Durango’s old-school appeal while emphasizing low prices and V8-friendly character.

The bottom line: If you want the last version of this generation and you value the current market softness, the 2025 is the one to target. If you’re mainly chasing value and can accept the same basic formula, a nearby year may also make sense for price-sensitive shopping.
