Used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale near Connecticut

How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox cost?

Prices have softened 11.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 9,813 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox a good car?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox earns an 7.67/10 expert rating, and Chevrolet’s redesign gives it a more truck-inspired look while adding new standard tech and safety features. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The trade-offs are clear: the cargo area is small for the class, and the voice assistant can be finicky. Even so, the added value, standard wireless smartphone integration, and new trim strategy make it a strong fit if you want a compact SUV with more modern features and a fresher feel.

With 39.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market still offers some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox reliable?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is presented as a fresh redesign with new transmissions, standard tech, and added safety equipment, which supports a solid everyday-use case. Its 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is the only engine offered, and the AWD version’s eight-speed automatic is described as an improvement over the old six-speed.

The performance notes also point to a quiet, comfortable ride in normal driving, with stronger low-speed response than you might expect from a small engine in a compact crossover. On the cost side, standard wireless smartphone projection and Chevy Safety Assist help the base model feel well equipped.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this is a new-generation model, so you should be especially attentive to condition, maintenance history, and any early-production issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and whether the tech and driver-assistance features operate as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LT is the base trim and comes with 17-inch wheels, while RS adds black mirrors and badges, a larger grille opening, red RS emblems, and standard 19-inch wheels. ACTIV brings a more adventure-oriented look with dark chrome accents, simpler grille inserts, 17-inch wheels, and all-terrain tires.
• Powertrain: The 2025 Equinox uses a single 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 175 horsepower. FWD models use a CVT, while AWD models use an eight-speed automatic, and AWD also increases torque output.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes rear park assist, lane-change alert with side blind-zone alert, enhanced automatic emergency braking, enhanced lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, rear seat reminder, and automatic high beams. An available Safety & Technology package adds rear pedestrian alert, HD surround vision, traffic-sign recognition, and a camera rearview mirror.
• Infotainment: The standard setup includes an 11.3-inch touchscreen, Google Built-In, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wi-fi hotspot capability, and a six-speaker audio system. Wireless charging is standard on RS and ACTIV and available on LT.
• Fuel efficiency: No MPG figure is stated in the available data.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Equinox trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox is offered in 3 trim levels: LT, RS, ACTIV.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and the core feature set, including standard wireless smartphone projection, Chevy Safety Assist, and Teen Driver Technology. It also gives you the most affordable path into the redesigned Equinox.
• RS: Choose this if you want the sportier look and more upscale visual treatment, including black exterior details, larger standard wheels, and a darker cabin with red accents. It’s the best fit if style matters most.
• ACTIV: Pick this if you want the most weekend-ready personality, with all-terrain tires, unique exterior trim, and a lighter, two-tone interior theme. It’s the trim that most clearly leans into the new adventure-oriented character.

The available Safety & Technology package can be added to any trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Chevrolet Equinox?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 39.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,813 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.64% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,107, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox's resale value?

The current average of $26,243 sits slightly below last year's $29,700.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your future resale value will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and trim appeal.

The good news is that the Equinox still has broad shopper appeal thanks to its standard tech and safety equipment. If you keep it clean and well maintained, you should be in a better position than a neglected example when it’s time to trade or sell.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox safe?

The 2025 Chevrolet Equinox earns a Top Safety Pick from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in frontal crash, side crash, and rollover tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard, and it includes rear park assist, lane-change alert with side blind-zone alert, enhanced automatic emergency braking, enhanced lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, rear seat reminder, and automatic high beams. Teen Driver Technology is also standard, which lets you set limits and monitor driving behavior for a secondary driver.

If you want more hardware, the available Safety & Technology package adds rear pedestrian alert, HD surround vision, traffic-sign recognition, and a camera rearview mirror. That package is available on any trim.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 39.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.64% compared with last year.
• It brings a fresh redesign with new standard tech and safety features.

Consider the 2026 if:

• At $28,366, the 2026 costs more than the current year's $26,243 average.
• It adds a standard drive mode selector.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2025 is the smarter buy because it delivers the redesign and the strongest pricing leverage. If you’re price-sensitive and find a clean, well-equipped 2025 at the low end of the range, that’s the path I’d prioritize over paying more for the 2026.
