How much does the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado cost?

Prices have softened 5.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,348 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare trims and prices.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado earns an expert rating of 7.83/10.

The standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

The Colorado is presented as a strong entry in the midsize pickup segment, with a special emphasis on off-pavement performance. It also stands out as a right-sized truck that should fit in a garage and be easy to park in town.

The trade-offs are clear: you may face sticker shock, and the truck is described as having poor fuel economy and questionable value for money. It also lacks a long-bed option.

With 33.8% of listings priced as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado reliable?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado is framed as a strong, well-rounded midsize truck with a powerful standard turbocharged engine and a straightforward lineup.

Its performance setup is a major part of that appeal: the standard 2.7-liter TurboMax four-cylinder delivers strong output quickly, with minimal lag right off idle, and the transmission shifts quickly and smoothly. That kind of powertrain behavior is a good sign for everyday drivability and confidence under load.

Chevrolet also includes useful ownership-friendly touches, including standard Chevy Safety Assist and standard Teen Driver technology. The Colorado’s standard equipment and simple controls suggest a truck that should be easy to live with over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the truck’s poor fuel economy can add up if you drive a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Chevrolet Colorado?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report, verify maintenance records, and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has been used for towing or off-road driving. Focus on tire wear, suspension condition, underbody damage, and signs of hard use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: WT is the work-truck baseline, while LT adds body-color exterior details and nicer wheels. Trail Boss adds a lifted stance and off-road hardware, Z71 adds more polished styling with off-road capability, and ZR2 brings the most aggressive hardware and appearance.
• Powertrain: Every Colorado uses a 2.7-liter TurboMax four-cylinder with 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. 4WD is optional on WT and LT, but standard on Trail Boss, Z71 and ZR2.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a following distance indicator and automatic high beams. Blind-zone steering assist, reverse automatic emergency braking and rear park assist are also standard, while rear pedestrian alert, trailering support for blind-zone steering assist and a 360-degree camera system are optional.
• Infotainment: Every Colorado gets an 11.3-inch touchscreen, Google built-in software, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition and Alexa Built-In connectivity.
• Fuel efficiency: The base WT with RWD is rated at 19 mpg city, 23 mpg highway and 20 mpg combined. With 4WD, it drops to 17 mpg city, 21 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined. The ZR2 is rated at 17 mpg across the board, and the Bison package drops to 16 mpg in all driving scenarios.

Which 2025 Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado is offered in 5 trim levels: WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71 and ZR2.

Here's the short version:

• WT: This is the value-focused starting point if you want the Colorado’s core powertrain and utility without paying for extra appearance or off-road gear.
• LT: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds nicer exterior details and more polished everyday appeal without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• Trail Boss: Choose this if you want the factory lift and off-road-ready hardware, including skid plates and 32-inch tires.
• Z71: This is the better pick if you want a more upscale feel with off-road capability and additional body-color elements.
• ZR2: This is the one to buy if you want the most serious off-road setup, including the most aggressive hardware and the strongest visual presence.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, and Teen Driver technology is standard on all Colorado models.

What is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

The current average of $39,357 sits slightly below last year's $41,818.

That softer pricing suggests the Colorado is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. If you buy now, you may be entering at a lower point than recent owners did.

Should I buy a 2025 Chevrolet Colorado or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.88% compared with last year.
• It combines strong off-road capability with easy-to-use technology and a right-sized footprint.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,932, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $39,357 average.
• It emphasizes modern lifestyle-pickup appeal and everyday usability.

Consider the 2026 if:

• It keeps the Colorado’s simple formula while adding small updates and staying mostly unchanged.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory and capability, the 2025 is the best all-around target. If your priority is spending less, the 2024 is the smarter value play.
