There are 177 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ a good car?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ earns a 5.7/10 from our experts.

The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Cadillac’s biggest electric vehicle stands out as an electric luxury SUV that is unrivaled in size, and the overview makes clear that it aims to deliver a distinctive full-size EV experience. The trade-offs are just as clear: it drives like a very large vehicle, its technology leans more toward quantity than quality, and road-trip charging requires high-power infrastructure.

Cons: It drives as big as it looks, the tech can feel overstuffed rather than polished, and high-power charging is mandatory for road trips.

For you, that means the Escalade IQ makes the most sense if you want maximum presence, space, and EV novelty in one package. The market also shows 36.2% good or great deals, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ reliable?

The overview and expert review both point to a vehicle built around scale, battery capacity, and luxury presentation rather than simplicity. Its standard dual-motor AWD setup and large battery pack are engineered for big performance and long range, while the review also notes that the vehicle’s weight and size create real-world compromises in ride and handling.

The performance write-up also emphasizes that the Escalade IQ uses a large battery pack and an 800-volt electrical system, which supports fast charging when conditions are ideal. For daily use, that should be manageable if you can charge at home or at work.

Cadillac also includes a first-rate convenience perk for ownership: the vehicle can recover range quickly on the right charger, and the brand offers bidirectional charging hardware that can help power your home during outages.

For used buyers, the long-term risk is mostly about complexity, battery wear, and the costs that can come with a very large, high-tech EV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially because this is a large, expensive EV with a lot of technology and a heavy battery pack. Focus on overall condition, charging behavior, and whether the vehicle has been used in ways that may have stressed the battery or suspension.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Luxury and Sport design themes differ in appearance, and both come standard with 24-inch wheels. The base setup already includes a posh cabin and standard advanced safety features, so you should mainly compare design preference and equipment content rather than expecting a dramatic feature gap.
• Powertrain: The standard dual-motor AWD setup delivers up to 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque with Velocity Max engaged. It is quick for something this large, but the review also notes that the vehicle still feels heavy and truck-like on the road.
• Safety package: Cadillac includes automatic emergency braking front and rear, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system, automated parking assist, and teen-driver monitoring. Super Cruise is standard as well.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses a dashboard-spanning display with a digital instrument cluster, central touchscreen, and passenger screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not offered, and the system uses Google-based infotainment instead.
• Range & charging: Cadillac estimates 460 miles of range, with an estimated 200 kilowatt-hours of total battery capacity and DC fast charging up to 350 kW. Cadillac says that can add 100 miles in 10 minutes under ideal conditions.
• Battery health: As with any used EV, you should ask about battery state-of-health, typical charging habits, and whether the vehicle has spent most of its life on home charging or frequent DC fast charging. Also check how much of the battery warranty remains.

Which 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ trim should I buy?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is offered in 4 trim levels: Luxury 1, Sport 1, Luxury 2, and Sport 2.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury 1: This is the entry point, and it already gives you the Escalade IQ’s core appeal: huge size, a posh interior, standard advanced safety features, and the standard dual-motor AWD powertrain. It is the best-value starting point if you want the Escalade IQ experience without paying for extra content you may not need.
• Sport 1: Choose this if you prefer the Sport design theme and want similar feature content with a different look. It is mainly for buyers who care more about styling than added capability.
• Luxury 2: Move here if you want more content and are willing to pay for it. This is the better pick if you want a richer equipment mix and plan to keep the vehicle longer.
• Sport 2: This is the top-end Sport choice for buyers who want the sportier appearance and the highest-content version of that theme.

Cadillac’s standard safety package is already extensive, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 177 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $105,282, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ's resale value?

The current average of $105,337 sits slightly below last year's $127,242.

That drop suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can help you negotiate now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect depreciation pressure to remain a factor, especially with a high-priced EV that has a very specific buyer pool.

If you plan to resell later, condition, mileage, and charging history will matter a lot. A clean, well-kept example should hold up better than one with heavy use or visible wear.

Is the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ safe?

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Cadillac includes its full array of driver assist features, such as automatic emergency braking front and rear, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system, and automated parking assist. GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system is also standard, and automatic lane-change functionality is included.

The review also notes that safety ratings from IIHS and NHTSA were not available at the time of publication. That means you should lean more heavily on the standard safety equipment and your own inspection of cameras, sensors, and driver-assistance operation when shopping used.

Should I buy a 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.21% compared with last year.
• The 2025 stands out as Cadillac’s biggest electric vehicle yet, with standard advanced safety features and a distinctive full-size EV identity.

The bottom line: If you want the Escalade IQ’s full-size electric luxury experience, the 2025 is the right place to start because it combines strong market availability with a meaningful price drop. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep shopping the broader market and compare carefully against other large electric SUVs before committing.
